Guru Nanak Dev University is a university located in Amritsar, Punjab and provides bachelors and masters degrees in a variety of fields such as arts, science and commerce, education, law, engineering and technology, pharmacy and several more. The eligibility under this criterion may differ across departments. To get admission in B.A. the candidate should have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board only. The B.Sc programs admit students who have completed their 10+2 level of education with science stream as compulsory subjects. Admission criteria of B.Ed program is minimum 50% in graduation for the grads. For B.Tech course the candidate should have passed 10+2 having Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as optional subjects and obtained a minimum of 50% marks. Based on 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology B. Pharm eligibility is fixed. Our university accepts national level examinations such as JEE Mains, GATE, CMAT, CAT for engineering, management and pharmacy streams.
The various types of programs that are offered by the university include B.A with various specialties in social Sciences, Languages and Fine arts, B.Sc. In subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany Zoology etc., engineering degrees in Computer Science Electronics Civil and Mechanical branches, post graduation courses in Arts, Science Education Laws Business Administration Computer Application and Pharmacy.

The admission procedure of B.A. as the following criteria: Candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination in any stream and minimum 50% of marks in aggregate. The program of B.Com caters general business knowledge and specialization in accountancy. Eligibility criteria would that the candidate should have passed 10+2 minimum 50% marks in any stream. The standard entrance tests are CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, NIOS, IB and the like The BSc stream comprises of options like Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Zoology, and others. Several postgraduate departments present at Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), comprising M.A., M.Sc, M.Com, MBA, MCA and more. The eligibility criteria is different for distinct departments. For M.A. in Economics, English, History, Political Science, Punjabi, Sociology one has to fulfill a relevant bachelor’s degree with 50%aggregate percentage. M.Sc. In Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics it has similar prerequisite qualifications that demands one to possess B.Sc. in relevant field with minimum 50% in their respective degrees. M.Com is done after B.Com degree with the minimum qualification of 50% marks together with other eligible criteria. Top MBA entrance tests acknowledged are CAT, MAT, CMAT, GNDU MET and other relevant entrance tests. The basic criteria for MBA are a bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks and the candidate must appear for CAT/MAT etc. For MCA, one requires graduation in computer science or any other equivalent course with at least 60% of marks.
