Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya (GKV) is a private university which comes under section 3 of the UGC act, 1956 and situated in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India. It was founded in the year 1902 and it lays particular stress on the reading of the Sanskrit writings and shastras. It has been granted recognition by the University Grants Commission and has secured grade A accreditation by NAAC. The position of GKV in the NIRF ranking of the universities in India in 2023 was 76.

Some of the recruiting agencies are government institutions, NGOs, media houses and publishers recruiting teachers, translators and interpreters, content writers etc. Majority of the students get placed in the pay scale of 3-4 lakhs per annum with some students getting the highest pay scale of 8 lakhs per annum. About the placement cell, it has been established that the percentage of 80% of the total students in the batch of 2021-22 are placed.
