Himgiri Zee University is among the renowned private universities located in Dehradun, which provides a number of courses and programs in different fields namely engineering, management, law, agriculture and several others. HZU faculty of engineering provides the BTech degrees in the fields like Computer Science Engineering, Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Biotechnology. The requirement in academic standards for an admission into engineering programs include at least 50% aggregate marks in aggregate 10+2 examination or its equivalent such as AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE or three years Diploma in Engineering with 50% marks. The management faculty has courses such as BBA, BCA, BCOM, MBA, MCA for candidates who want to pursue their 10+2 in any field. The cut offs vary depending on the particular course of interest; for law courses like BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCOM LLB the minimum percentage of marks that a candidate must have obtained in 10+2 exams is 45% while for agriculture courses like BSc Agriculture and MSc Agriculture the candidate must have passed 10+2 in science group with Mathematics/ Agriculture/ Biology.
Regarding the session starting from the academic year 2024, the process of admission regarding all the UG and PG programs offered in the science, arts, engineering streams and many more will be initiated in the month of November 2023. Some of the entrance examinations for admissions to the under graduate and post graduate courses include JEE Main examination for admission to B Tech programs, CAT/MAT/CMAT for MBA, LSAT for Law, NATA for architecture programs among others while there are courses such as BA, BSc, BCom and others that accept marks in the qualifying examination as meeting the requirement. - B. Tech, Computer Science & IT: To get into the second year of the B.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology one has to pass 12th standard with Maths, Physics and Chemistry with an aggregate of 60% (55% for SC/ST) marks.
