The IIT Bhilai was established in the year 2016 at Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India. It offers B.Tech. degrees across different faculties such as the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Faculty of Engineering Technology and Business and the Faculty of Civil Engineering. The admission requirements for these 4-year undergraduate programs which are normally referred to as first degree programs include passing of Class 12 science stream with minimum pass mark of 60% to 75% depending on the category of the candidate.
The various B.Tech. academic disciplines or specializations provided by IIT Bhilai and spread across the various engineering departments are computer science and engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering chemical engineering and material science and engineering. The admission in the year 2024 will be based on the score obtained in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) which is a national level test.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
1. Identification Documents - You will be required to provide the government issued photo identification for your Age and Identity proofs.
2. 10th Standard Marksheet and Passing Certificate - A mark sheet copy is to be attached which shows the marks of the candidate in their 10th standard final exams and the passing certificate.
3. 12 Standard/Pre-University Marks Card and Pass Certificate - This is a mark sheet regarding marks scored by the candidate in the 12th standard/pre-university final examination in addition to a pass certificate.
4. Degree Certificate and Marksheets – It is mandatory to produce the under graduate degree certificate and all semester marks/ grade sheets for post graduate admissions.
5. Community Certificate - If claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC quota, attach this document.
6. Other Documents – Provide domicile certificate, migration certificate from the last attended institution or University or any other special type of certificate in support to admission application.
1. Take the JEE Advanced exam and perform well enough to meet the cut-off standards set by the particular IITs.
2. Engage in the joint seat allocation process and select IIT Bhilai from a list of preferences.
3. If a candidate secures a seat, he or she has to submit documents and clear initial admission charges through the internet.
4. Admitted students should report physically the institute and do the admission related formalities within a specified time.
5. Make documents verifiable again and pay balance fees in the orientation programme.
6. Attend the induction program for the freshers and then the students need to choose their courses according to their merit and preference.

1. They should ensure that they meet requirement of the position such as GATE/NET score or minimum 60% in the Master’s degree.
2. Locate department of interest and the research areas that you would like to explore based on your field.
3. Obtain academic transcripts, writing a research proposal, recommendation letters, or other pertinent documents.
4. Complete the online application form, submit documents, and clear the application fee before the stipulated time.
5. Invitation to sit for the written test and interview in front of the selection committee for shortlisted candidates.
6. Final offer letters prepared and issued to the candidates selected on merit, available positions, and relevancy to the research being conducted.
