The IARI or Indian Agricultural Research Institute established in New Delhi is the premier national Institute for agricultural research, education and extension in the country. It also proffers PhD, MSc, MTech and other diploma courses in all the fields of agriculture including Agronomy, Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Chemicals, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Statistics, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Genetics, Horticulture and others. The qualification requirements are specific to the department and program with PhD requiring a Master’s degree in the speciality of interest and passing of the Institute entrance test. For admission to Masters programmes, the candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related science disciplines with the minimum percentage of marks as prescribed by the respective University/Institution. IARI follows the entrance examination of several examinations like ICAR AIEEA, GATE, CSIR-NET, UGC NET etc.

They must choose the program they are interested in and complete the application form in the internet and scan and attach necessary documents.

The Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi provides agricultural education and research in India and is one of the leading agricultural universities in the country. It presents a number of undergraduate programmes within the areas of specialization including Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry and Basic sciences. The minimum qualification required for BSc Agriculture program is passing 12th standard in relevant subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/ Maths the acceptances exam are CBSE/ICSE etc The BSc Horticulture also have similar 12th standard requirements with CBSE/ICSE accepted exams. Similar to the eligibility norms of BSc Forestry, the program is open to applicants who have completed their 12th Science stream from a recognized board. BS Basic Sciences is offered to candidates who passed 12th Science stream and have qualified cut off marks in PCM/PCB subject along with entrance test conducted by IARI.
