International Institute of Information Technology, Pune (IIITP) was established in 2016 as an autonomous institute under the Public Private Partnership model with the Government of India, Government of Maharashtra as the founding promoters along with some of the industry partners. The institution is acclaimed by UGC, accredited by AICTE and has been honored with Grade A by NAAC. The NIRF rankings of 2023 marked IIITP 32nd for Engineering and 51-75 for University.
IIITP in its current form offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Computing, Technical and Management fields of study that include Computer Science, Electronics and Communications and Computational Science and Design besides Management and Humanities. Some of the popular courses are BTech Computer Science, MTech Data sciences, MSc economics and PhD programs. Admission can be done through IIIT Pune Entrance Exam as well as other standard entrance tests JEE Mains, GATE, CEED, etc.
The IIITP has been conscious with its placement record, with students getting picked up by major companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, Intel, Goldman Sachs and Samsung to mention but a few. The highest number of recruiters included Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase, and Amazon.com among others and 90% of the graduating batch of 2023 got placed with Rs. 10.2 LPA for UG and Rs 14.3 LPA for PG students. The idea of ‘maximum salaries’ has also been taken to Rs 27.5 LPA. IT consulting giants such as McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, and EY are also significant employers, as are IT service providers Infosys, Wipro, and Accenture besides core semiconductor and electronics companies like Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, and MediaTek.

IIIT Pune Placements 2024
The International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Pune has always been placed among the premier institutes with regard to the placement initiatives for its graduates. In its recent placement session 2022-23, the majority of students, that is more than 90% students got placed with some of the most prestigious organizations. Some of the major recruiters of the job fair were Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Samsung Research, Cisco, Walmart Labs, Deloitte, and many more. The maximum salary offered was 45 LPA by Microsoft for the Post of Software Developer II while the average salary offered was 14 LPA. Some of the industries where IIIT, Pune graduates are being placed are IT software services, core technology industries, ecommerce sector, consultancies, analytics etc.
