Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur is one of the 20 IIITs which were envisioned under the PPP model conceived by Ministry of Education to establish Institutes of Information Technology. Some of the undergraduate programs offered by IIITDM Jabalpur are BTech that it provides in the field of engineering such as Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Design and so on. It is 4 years of BTech degree, for which applicants must have passed 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics with minimum 60-70% marks in any central/state board recognized depending upon their branch. The institute offers admission through national level entrance exams such as JEE Main, GATE and state level entrance test like MP PET. There are also chances provided for the lateral entries into the second year of the BTech programme through exams such as JEE Advanced.
The crucial entrance examination list for IIITDM Jabalpur for the year 2024 are JEE Main, examination will be in the month of January to April 2024, GATE 2024 examination will be held in February 2024, MP PET around June 2024. The admission procedure includes online registration at different websites for the national and state entrance categories. 1. JEE Mains Score: B.Tech positions in IIITDM Jabalpur are offered through the following process of counseling administered by the JoSAA:- JEE Mains performance outlines the eligibility and ranking that candidates will be granted to join IIITDM Jabalpur.
2. Class 12th Scores: Candidates must possess the completion of class 12 (or any equivalent examination) for the academic year 2012-13 with minimum 75% marks in aggregate for the general category (65% for SC/ST) in the best of their previous attempts. Even the candidates, those who are in their final year of their senior secondary classes, commonly known as Class XII, are eligible to apply.
3. JoSAA Counseling: Finally, for IITs, NITs, IIITs and ISM Dhanbad, JoSAA prepares the seat allotment result considering candidates’ JEE Mains ranks choices filled, category and seat availability for IIITDM Jabalpur and other institutions. The process of seat allocation entails a sequence of rounds.
4. Qualifying JEE Advanced: Though, passing in JEE Advanced is not necessary to get admission in IIITDM Jabalpur B.Tech course, but helps in JoSAA counselling session.
5. Admission Confirmation: The last step is to fulfill the admission procedure with documents and fees and to join the JoSAA counseling for getting an allotment of seats in IIITDM Jabalpur.

1. GATE score: The GATE score of the candidate would be the only qualifying criteria for the M.Tech programs offered at the institute. The minimum GATE score expected is 350 out of 100.
2. Interview and personal interaction: Only those students will be called for an interview and personal interaction round who have fulfilled the qualifying criteria fixed by the faculty members of the concerned department. Consequently, selection will be done based on the performance of the act in this round.
3. Academic performance: Under this criterion, the candidate’s performance in relation to his/her academic achievement in the previously completed undergraduate degree will be assessed with reference to percentage of marks/CGPA. English proficiency: A minimum English proficiency of 60% or a CGPA of 6.5 business related programme.
4. Research proposal: In some departments, candidates will have to provide a research proposal on a topic that they are interested in. Thus, the proposal’s quality can affect the choice of projects and their funding.
5. Work experience: Industry experience in the form of internships or industrial training is normally desirable and often given some preference.
6. Recommendation letters: Recommendation letters from previous employers or supervisors or teachers can be quite helpful in the case of an applicant.
