ILI stands for Indian Law Institute and is a premier institution dedicated to the cause of legal education and research, which was setup in 1956. It is affiliated as a university by Bar Council of India and recognized and accredited by University Grants Commission. The ILI has been accredited by NAAC and has received Grade ‘A’. It has secured 75th rank under the law category in NIRF Ranking 2023. It provides courses for the undergraduate and post graduate levels in several areas of the law such as the corporate law, cyber law, and intellectual property rights.
The ILI has provisions for 5 years integrated Undergraduate programs such as BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons). The institute also provides for one year LLM and PhD programs in various specialization. This is the ideal time to apply for admission for the coming academic year 2024 and the application will be opened in April 2023. After the test, to be more specific the CLAT test, applicants are called for group discussions and interviews in order to make the final list of students to be granted admission.

Indian Law Institute Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. PhD program is mandatory for candidate who possess Master’s degree in law with minimum 55% marks from any recognized university along with the NET/ SLET examination.
2. For admission to PG diploma programs, one should have completed Bachelor’s degree in any field with the minimum 50% marks from any university.
3. For Certificate courses, there are no set standards of education board and minimum passing marks are 50% in 10+2 examination from any recognized education board.
4. The online certificate programs will start for 10+2 passed students from any recognized board without any minimum percentage condition.
5. Students need to have a minimum of 10+2 certificate from any board recognized by the Indian government and they should have obtained an aggregate of 50% marks.
6. Postgraduate programs offered are LLB and LLM for graduates from a recognized university and those must have obtained a minimum of 50% in the qualifying examination.
Indian Law Institute Placements 2024
The Indian Law Institute or the ILI gives excellent placement options to its law students. Some of the major recruiters that come to the campus for recruitment are law firms of national repute, corporate houses having in-house legal departments, judiciary, public sector units and many academic institutions. In 2023, maximum salary package was offered by Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas which was up to INR 16.8 LPA and median salary was INR 10.2 LPA. The employment record of the college is also good with almost 83% of the students securing placements through campus placement in the year 2023. Over fifty plus companies participated in the placement drive to provide jobs in various sectors with packages extending between 8 to 12 Lacs per annum were offered by ICICI Bank, Tata Steel, L&T , Fox Mandal and Trilegal.
