The Indian Veterinary Research Institute IVRI, set up in Bareilly is one of the foremost centres for veterinary research in the country. It has departments covering different vibrant areas of veterinary and animal science such as Animal Genetics and Breeding, Animal Nutrition, Animal Reproduction Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Livestock Production Management, Animal Biotechnology, Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Parasitology, Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Public Health, Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology.
For a candidate to be considered for admission in to IVRI master’s or PhD programs, he or she should possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in related fields such as Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, Fisheries Science, Animal Science. Specific admission requirements may however, differ depending on the department and specific program targeted. For instance, for master’s program in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology the candidates have to fulfill the following criteria: A BVSc/BVM degree with minimum 60% marks.

1. Identity, proof of date of birth Documents such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, driving license, or passport containing date of birth and identity.
2. The documents of 10th standard education certificate and mark sheet from the concerned state or national education board.
3. Mark sheet of the 12th standard passed from a recognized state/ national education board indicating the subjects passed and marks obtained therein.
4. The certificate of the examination passed for the award of the graduation degree along with mark sheets issued by the university/college.
5. Caste certificate from the Competent Authority, if applying under any of the reserved category of admission.
6. A letter of certification from the employer, if the applicant is already in employment.
1. Veterinary Microbiology department - 12 th passed in PCB group with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
2. Veterinary Parasitology department - candidates should have passed 12th class with Science with minimum 50% marks, no specific subject preference is mentioned.

4. Veterinary Public Health department - 12th standard pass having Physics, Chemistry, Biology with minimum 60% in aggregate

1. Basic standard for enrollment into the PG programs, for instance, the academic achievement and entrance test performances.
2. Such courses needs to be applied online or offline before the application deadline by completing the application form and paying fees.
3. Sit and pass the entrance examination administered, often, the ICAR AIEEA exam.
4. Engage in counseling in line with your ranking and specialization interest for the postgraduate programs.
5. The college will complete the verification of documents and for the confirmation of the admission students have to pay their admission fees after the allotment of the seats.
6. In the prescribed department mentioned in your letter on the said date, the candidate has to undergo formalities for enrollment to start the PG program.
