Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research – IGIDR is one of the premier advanced research institute and it is situated in Mumbai, India and was established in 1986 as an autonomous body by the Reserve Bank of India. IGIDR is an autonomous institute which is re accredited by the university grants commission and is accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC. In the new NIRF ranking system for the year 2023, IGIDR was ranked 101 among all the university in India.
IGIDR is among India’s leading centres for theoretical and applied interdisciplinary research in development from a multi-disciplinary perspective. Some of the key issues discussed in these forums and seminars include agriculture, industries, commerce, money and finance, public economics, health care, education, sustainable development, environment, energy, infrastructure, climate change and more.
The facilities for placement at IGIDR consist of summer internship opportunities and final placements.
