Bose University Of Science And Technology, YMCA provides education through various courses for different levels of study including undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the fields of engineering, management, computer applications, commerce, arts and science. They are different for all departments for instance the eligibility criteria for the information technology department maybe different from the criteria for the sales department. For other BTech specialization like Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Civil the requirement is to have passed the 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects and should have scored minimum 60% of marks. Approved tests were JEE Main, UPSEE, and HPCET. IMS is the Institute of Management Studies which offers the BBA and MBA courses with the minimum eligibility of 50% marks in 12th and graduates respectively. Accepted exams are CAT, MAT, UP- SEE. The BCA program under the Department of Computer Applications takes admission through out pass of 12th standard with Mathematics as one of the subjects. Admissions are based on scores obtained in UPSEE exam, JEE Main examination is also accepted.
It has provisions for undergraduate and postgraduate level courses in Engineering and Technology, Computer Applications, Management and other sciences. For the next batch i.e. 2024 batch, admissions for all courses including BTech, MTech, MCA, MBA, BBA etc, will likely to start in April 2023. All the “National and state level entrance exams” are acceptable including JEE Main, GATE, UPSEE, CAT, MAT etc. The actual application requires the completion of an online registration form, uploading several documents and biometric photos, payment of the application fee and group discussion/personal interview depending on the position to be filled. Jeemain Exam dates is 1st week of Jan, 2024 and April, 2023. UPSEE 2024 is expected to be conducted around the last week of April – 2023. GATE 2024: Examination Date: The GATE 2024 examination is to be held in the month of February 2023. The key dates along with the complete admission schedule will be released preferably by October 2023, on the official website of the university.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
- The selection criteria for its admissions is through the scores obtained in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main.
- The following academic performance is taken into account with the respective weight; 12th class performance also has some weight. Generally, 50%–60% weightage is given to the scores obtained in JEE Main and the rest 40%–50% weightage is given to the score obtained in 12th boards.
- Candidates have to apply separately for the university after securing a rank in the JEE Main to get admitted into the university. It is also important to note that the university does not follow a direct seat allocation process as students undergo their own counseling.
- Admission is given to the student according to their ranks scored in JEE Main, their 12th board results, the number of seats available for admission in the various B.Tech specializations and their preferences.
- Apart from the direct merit seats of JEE Main here also exists other categories available in the university like women quota, TFW quota, Kashmiri migrants etc as per the government norms.
- Some programs offer state quota seats and any candidate applying for these seats must fulfill certain category domicile requirements.
1. Once you visit the university admission portal you can create an account and enter your personal details such as name, e-mail address, telephone number, among others.
2. In this step, complete the online application form and furnish all necesary information – biographical data, academic background, contact info, etc.
3. Scan and upload photographs, signature, class 10 and 12 certificates, and if applicable, the category certificates.
4. Pay the application fee online using net banking, credit card, UPI and such other modes.
5. Provide the applicant number and download or print out the completed application form for later use.
6. One should read the admission bulletin often for updates on the allotment lists and any other counselling session.
7. In case, they have been assigned a seat they have to present themselves for document verification as per the scheduled time table. Present physical documents, official registration fee, and other charges.
8. Receive the admission letters and go through the formalities as to joining the institutions.
1. Look at the university website or the advertisement where the notification about the B.Sc. is to be posted. admission/application process. It often starts in May or June on average.
2. Choose the discipline you want to apply for – Physics, Chemistry, Maths, etc. See the requirements for admission in the university in relation to qualification and percentage.
3. An applicant can apply in person at the university or apply online through the university admission portal or collect an application form as provided. Ensure that all other details are filled in properly.
4. If there are any pertinent documents, these have to be completed and submitted with the application form . This ranges from –10th & 12th mark sheets, passport photos, etc.
5. Complete the application form and submit it along with the application fee paid online/demand draft. Also, retain copies of receipts or other documentation that the fee has been paid.
6. A copy of all the documents must be taken and reviewed before completion and submission of the application form either online or offline as the case may be.
7. When applying online – provide and retain the final copy of the submitted form. For submission by hand/post to the university by the dead line in offline form.
8. Visiting the university website often ensures that one is up to date on the merit list, shortlist, admission calendar and interviews if any. In case of counselling sessions, one is supposed to attend.
