Jai Narain Vyas University (JNVU) is a State University established in the year 1962 in the state of Rajasthan, India situated at Jodhpur. It was set up in 1962, and in 2009 it received accreditation by NAAC, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, with B ++ grade. The current NIRF ranking system based on 2023 ranks JNVU in the bracket of 101-150 for universities in India. It is accredited by UGC and the government of Rajasthan also accredits it. The university is a practical way university with five affiliated colleges and more than 265 affiliated colleges in eight districts of the region and offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs.
The university has numerous programs in its curriculum catering to the various fields of study including sciences, engineering and technology, management and commerce, law and education, liberal arts and many more… Some of the popular programs include BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, BBA, BEd, BTech, LLB, MBA, MCA, MSc, MA, MCom and so on… end of the semester exams can be taken from Generally, the admission process starts in June and new students are offered on the basis of merit obtained in qualifying exams, 10+2. The submission of the applications is done online either at the university site or respective college sites.

1. Only those aspiring for a career in the field of fashion design are eligible to apply who have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with minimum percentage of marks as per the course. For Bachelors programs, one has to have an average of 50% at least in their previous degree.
2. Applicants seeking to be considered for Masters programs must have a relevant Bachelors degree from a recognized university and must have scored a minimum aggregate mark; the mark depending on the program being applied for. Usually 50-55% aggregate required.
3. It has been seen that some of the programs have other requirements like passing an entrance test, working experience etc., which one has to note before applying for the programs.
4. As per government norms, there is a possibility of receiving a relaxation in the least possible mark (minimum aggregate) in case of the candidates belonging to the reserved categories. It is necessary for them to provide authentic category certificates.
5. The criteria of eligibility may vary for foreign nationals and NRI candidates; however, they can crosscheck the same with the guidelines laid down by the university.
