The university that we are going to focus is Jawaharlal Nehru University, which is located in New Delhi and it provides many courses in fields of science, social sciences, arts and language. Certain departments have different criteria for eligibility - BA in Economics requires a graduation score of 50% with Economics as one of the subjects; MSc Biotechnology requires a graduation score of 55% in any Science subjects. As for the entrance test, MPhil Social Sciences students are required to take UGC NET, JRF, MPhil CET, integrated MPhil-PhD in Computational & Integrative Sciences students are required to take GATE or CSIR-NET. Unlike other language and literature courses which require students to take entrance examination scores, the International Relations masters program allows the student to present Graduate Record Examination scores.
1. The candidates will have to log on to the official website of JNU as www.jnu.ac.in and Click on ‘Admissions’ or directly visit www.jnuee.jnu.ac.in.
2. Choose the course of your preference and the desired registration method. Continue the registration process and provide personal information includes contact information, academic information and other additional information.
3. Scan and upload photograph and signature and any other documents required for the submission of the form. Online payment for the registration fees.
4. It is advised to take a printout of the completed Application form with reference number.
5. Updated address for sending the print out of form and required documents by speed post before the last date is provided.
6. Candidates must visit and bookmark the official website frequently for the admit card of the admissions test, written test or interview if any. Admission offers will be uploaded through the candidate’s portal.
Documents Required for Admission in JNU New Delhi for Different Courses:
1. Appearing JEE Main exam and getting desirable rank. The basic criteria for admission to B.Tech in JNU is the score obtained in JEE Main entrance exam.
2. It is also important to determine whether the applicant satisfies all the requirements as provided by JNU in terms of age limit, previous academic records.
3. Fill an online application on the JNU admission portal when the admission is available. Provide the details and attach the documents as needed.
4. If your name has been selected for the next level, sit for the JNUEE counseling process. It is important to mention here that seat is assigned according to the rank secured in the JEE Main examination.
5. After getting seat in the college, they all are required to clear the documents, fee payment and other formalities as soon as possible.
6. Register for the required B.Tech program at JNU according to the academic session and date. Sit for an orientation meeting and enroll to the various classes.
