Jayoti Vidyapeeth Women University better known as JVWU is a private university located in Jaipur, Rajasthan. JVWU was started in the year 2008 and is recognized by government of India and other regulatory bodies such as UGC, AICTE. This institution has accreditation from NAAC and has an ‘A’ Grade; according to NIRF 2023 ranking, the university is ranked 170th. It gives different types of undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and PhD programmes exclusively for women students in different faculties.
It has over 35 courses which are offered in faculties such as Management, Law, Science, Education, Commerce, Computer Applications, Physical Education, Journalism, Library Science, among others. The traditional and general courses offered by the university are BBA BA LLB B Sc B Com BCA. End of semester exams for the students occur in October and March annually. The placement in 2022 saw the highest salary package offered up to 12 LPA and the average salary was 3 LPA. The percentage analyzed for the eligible students who got placed was over 85% with openings in different corporations as well as job profiles such as business development, marketing, finance, analysis and education. Jayoti Vidyapeeth Women's University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. To take the admission in Bachelors programs students should have passed 10+2 examination in relevant stream from any recognized board of education securing at least 50% marks for open category and 45% for SC/ST category. There are some specific job programs that students have to complete in addition to the general requirements.
2. For B.Ed. qualification for the respective I. os/ I. & pr. programs, applicants should possess the bachelor’s degree of any discipline recognized by the university with minimum 50% marks (47.5% in case of reserved category).
3. Master’s program calls for possession of a bachelor’s degree in the relevant specialization with at least 50% of marks for general category candidates and 45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates. There are other norms as to eligibility for the extra programs.
4. For M.Phil programs, the candidate must have postgraduate degree with minimum 55%marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC). Qualification in an entrance test as well is mandatory.
5. In order to be eligible for the Ph.D., one must have a postgraduate degree in concerned subject with minimum 55% cumulative grade point average. Qualification in entrance examination also mandatory .
6. Diploma and certification programmes, however, could require the minimum 10+2 qualification with 50% + in aggregate. Sometimes there may be other criteria to fulfill depending on the course you wish to take or major you wish to pursue.
