Jaypee University of Information Technology was established in 2009 in Waknaghat, Solan, Himachal Pradesh as a private university. JUIT was set up in the year of 2002, which is approved by ugc and recognized by aicte. The university has recently been accredited for grade ‘A’ in the year 2022 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council NAAC. According to the NIRF rankings 2023, JUIT has secured the 81st position from all the universities present in India. 

The university teaches numerous undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various fields of engineering, computer science, IT, design, sciences, humanities, social science, and management studies. Some of the most sought after programs include B.Tech, M.Tech, BCA, MCA, M.Sc, MBA, B.Des, and Ph.D. The admission procedure for the batch of 2024 will begin from January 2023. Candidates seeking admission can register for JEE mains for B.Tech, JUIT entrance exam for other under graduate programs and gateway/test for post graduate programs GATE/NET. The tentative exam dates and results have not been officially declared yet However, they will be posted on the official website soon.

Jaypee University of Information Technology Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. Completed their class 12th examination or its equivalent with 60% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry/Biology/Maths (55% for SC/ST category). Would have been useful to take English as one of the subjects.

2. Possesses valid scores in JEE Mains/UCEED/NATA/JEE Advance or any other national level examination recognized for admissions to B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Des programs.  

3. For the admission to M.Tech, must have passed B.E/B.Recognized technical degree with least 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA (55% marks for SC/ST). A valid GATE score will also be expected out of the candidates appearing for the examination.

4. Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks passed in any discipline for MBA admission. The other important criteria that must be fulfilled include; possession of valid CAT/MAT score.  

5. For BBA/BCA, the candidate should have cleared the 10+2 level in any stream from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate.
