JG University is one of the leading educational institutions situated in Ahmedabad Gujarat. It was established in 2003 and has got recognition from the UGC and AICTE among other bodies. It also earned the university a grade ‘A’ from NAAC, a testament to the quality of the built environment and the education offered. In the newly released NIRF ranking released in 2023, JG University has featured among the top 100 University in the country.
The university teaches a large number of programs and courses across faculties for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees. Some of the well-known courses are Engineering like CSE, Mechanical, Civil, Business Management, Law, Designing, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Arts and many more. It normally takes January every year for the next academic year beginning in July/August. Computer aided tests are held in April-May and interviews of selected candidates are conducted in June. JG University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For Bachelor’s Degree, one has to complete their 10+2 examination with minimum 50% marks in the respective stream from any recognized board. The candidates from any discipline can apply for the admission.
2. To join the BTech programs one must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Maths as subjects and have scored a minimum of 60% in PCM. A standard qualifying entrance exam score is also needed.
3. Master’s degree programs are offered to the candidates who possess a bachelor’s degree of relevant subject/field with at least 50% of marks obtained from any recognized university. Depending on the programs offered, entrance examination could be necessary.
4. For MTech, candidates should have passed BTech/BE in relevant branch with minimum 60% marks. Should have appeared for this examination and secured a valid GATE score above the cut-off.
5. For MBBS, the candidate should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology as the subjects with at least 50% marks. For students, there is a need to qualify the NEET exam with marks above the cut-off.
6. For PhD admission, a candidate should have a master’s degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks. Candidates also have to pass an entrance test and interview and must meet certain requirements for admission.
