JG University Ahmedabad is a private university which provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the fields of engineering, management sciences, arts, commerce, law and many more. The basic admission criteria for engineering disciplines such as B.Tech in computer science or I.T is having passed 12th in science stream with minimum 50% marks and qualifying the JEE Main exam. For the BCA / MCA courses, it is essential to have passed 12th standard in any stream with mathematics as one of the subjects. MBA programs call for a bachelor’s degree in any field with 50% marks along with CAT/MAT scores. For BCom or MCom programs, the candidate should have passed 12th standard in any stream with minimum 50% marks of the aggregate. Courses like LLB and LLM have their own criteria such as CLAT or LSAT scores, and graduation in any field.  

It is important to note that the admission for the 2024 academic batch for all the programmes will commence in October, 2023. Some are JEE Main 2024 which will be conducted in January and April, CAT 2024 which is expected in November 2023. MAT, XAT, CMAT and other exams will have multiple test windows between October 2023 to May 2024. All these tests are recognized by JG University and students use them when applying for different programs. The application process for most courses will commence in October 2023 and this will have several cut off dates up to June 2024. Candidates are required to submit online application form, scan and attach documents, pay fees and attend counseling as per the dates announced by each department. Admissions will be merit based depending on the eligibility criteria, marks in examinations, counselling rounds etc. The new session for new admission will be in July/August 2024.

  • Candidates will be allotted a user ID & password from the confirmation page.
  • The same User ID & Password will be sent to the candidate's registered Email ID for future reference.
  • Upload passport size photograph (less than 1 MB) and all the required documents.
  • Pay Online & Download Receipt.

Academic Qualifications Minimum 50% marks in aggregate at the 10+2 level (or equivalent) with Commerce or Business Studies stream.
Entrance Exam While an entrance exam may not be mandatory, some years the university might conduct their own entrance exam or accept scores from national exams like CUET (Common University Entrance Test).
Merit-Based Selection If no entrance exam is required, selection will likely be based on the candidate's Class 12 marks.
Document Verification Original documents will need to be submitted for verification during the admission process.

1. Admissions/Application this can be found on the official JG University website at www.jguniversity.org

2. Choose the course you wish to pursue (B.Com).

3. Select the application category – whether you are applying for a regular student or through some regularity/quota/category.

4. Begin with entering the personal, academic and contact information into the online application form.

5. Scan your digital photograph and signature according to the prescribed size and format mentioned below.

6. Submit the application fee either online or generate a challan if you want to pay the fee offline. The fee amount will be spelled out.

7. Attach and upload the required documents like:Attach and upload the required documents like:

- 10th and 12th standard mark sheets

- Copy of the caste certificate (if applying under any quota)  

- Any other certificate/ documents necessary

8. Go through all the details filled in the form and then submit it. Ensure all the information provided is correct and scanned documents are readable.

9. This page contains the application number, which needs to be saved and printed along with the confirmation/acknowledgment page.

10. If shortlisted, you will have to attend other admission processes including counselling, submission of supporting documents and paying the necessary fees for admission.

JG University Ahmedabad B.Com How To Apply?

1. Visit the website for JG University at www.jguniversity.edu.in and click on the Admissions tab. Scroll down the page to find the link/details of admissions to the B.Com program.

2. Just click on the online application form link and then you can start entering the basic details of the candidate including personal details, contact information, educational qualification and more. 

3. Scan and upload your photograph, signature and copies of marksheets/certificates from 10th standard onwards as applicable.

4. Pay the application fee by an online process (if it is available, use a demand draft). It is important to note that details about the application fees and the method of payment will be provided in the admission notification brochure.

5. Upon completing the form, submit it and capture the confirmation or acknowledgment page, which is generated subsequently. In this page, they tell you your application reference number/details.

6. If shortlisted, you will be intimated via email/SMS about the selection process stages (group discussion, personal interview if any, etc., if applicable). 

7. On successful completion of the admission process, the admission letter from the University will be emailed to the student. 

8. Download the admission letter, pay the admission/semester fees to confirm your admission and register for the program.
