JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research in Mysore provides different courses in undergraduate, postgraduate in the field of science, arts, commerce, engineering, and other faculties. Lack of a uniform eligibility: This factor depends on the specific department and program being offered. For instance, if one wants to do BSc Physics, then one requires passing the 10+2 exam in science with 50% pass mark. The eligibility requirement needed to join this program is passing any of the two examinations namely NEET or CET. It is like doing MTech in Computer Science and the candidates must possess an engineering degree such as BTech/BE in CS or other related fields along with a valid score in GATE examination. Other related masters programs like MA in Psychology require a Graduation degree in the same or a related field, and passing exams like JSS AHERET.
The academy provides courses in Engineering, Medicine, Sciences, Arts, Management and also Pharmacy. Some of the most pursued courses are MBBS, BDS, B. Tech – CSE, ECE,EEE, IT, BCA, BSc Nursing, BA Jouralism, B Com, BBA, M. Tech – all disciplines, M. Sc- Chemistry/ Microbiology/ Physics, MCA, Mcom, MBA Marketing/ Finance domains, Pharm D and others. Upcoming exams dates for admission validity in 2024 session are: For B.Tech courses: 7th April – Karnataka CET, 10th April – COMEDK Other undergraduate courses: Between 15th May to 30th May – JSS AHERET Postgraduate entrance examination: Between 25th June to 10th July including GATE/GRE/MAT/CAT; Admit card available 45 days before each test. Application process starts from November 2023 for the next academic year and the selection is done by entrance tests and then the session is held in the respective departments for the candidates who are selected.
JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research Mysore wishes to admit various undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and eligible students may apply both online and offline. For the online application, the students need to go to the official website of the university, that is JSSUNI by going through www.jssuni.edu.in and then going to the ‘Admissions’ section. They will need to choose the course they wish to undertake, complete an online application form, and submit their documents. Another charge is an online application fee that has to be made.
For the offline admission method, students may either pick the form themselves from the university campus or receive it through the post/courier. Original application form completed in all respects along with photocopies of the documents of qualifying examinations and application fee ought to be deposited at the offices in the Campus. Fees for application can be paid by a demand draft.

- It is preferable that the student has passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) and/or cleared the admission test.
- For general category students, the minimum pass percentage needed is 45% aggregate percentage in 10+2. For SC/ST students, the minimum percentage in 10 + 2 is 40% to get admission in the university.
- There may be an entrance test regarding admission to any of the classes in the school. The criteria of weightage consist of the performance of the candidate in the test and 10+2 percentage to prepare the merit list.
- The criteria followed include the students’ performance in the previous schools, the entrance test scores (if any) and the performance during the interview.
- The university /government rules shall be followed while providing for reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC, etc. candidates.
- The next criterion concerns extracurricular activities; here, not only the participation but also the actual performance of the candidates matter.

2. The link to the online application form is available below and the first step in the process is to create a new account with the basic information such as the name, email address, phone number and so on.
3. An application number and password will be created for the student to use when accessing the online application. Go with these credentials to login and continue to fill out the entire application form.
4. Mention all necessary information in the form in terms of academics, personal information, documents to be uploaded etc.
5. After submitting the application form, you also have to pay an application fee via credit card, debit card, net banking etc.
6. Make sure you take a printout of the completed application form for future reference.
7. In the case of being shortlisted, then you will be invited for the selection process which may comprise of written examination, group discussion and interview.
1. Writing Ability Test – The academy conducts a writing ability test in which the candidates have to appear. Marks achieved in this test are taken into consideration, thus it has weightage.
2. Performance in Qualifying Examination - This criterion is the marks scored in the qualifying examination, which is the 10+2 or its equivalent examination and its score has been given certain weights as well in the selection. It is true, with higher percentage of marks obtained, the chances of getting selected will be higher.
3. Personal Interview – Students who are offered admission after scoring good marks in the entrance examination and meeting the cut-off benchmark have to face an interview. Other things that are evaluated during the interview include communication skills, intelligence, passion, etc what a candidate does in the interview will help determine whether he or she will be hired or not.
4. This is done as per the reservation policy of the government of India and as per its norms the seats are reserved for the candidates of scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and other backward classes. Candidates belonging to the reserved category are often given relaxations in the cut-offs.
5. Last Merit List – A candidate’s final merit list for selection is prepared considering her or his entrance test, qualifying examination, interview, and if eligible, reservation category. Candidates having higher ranks tend to be offered admissions as well as the preferred course or branch.

5. Candidates are required to upload scanned copies of required documents including photograph, signature, age proof, mark sheets, etc. in the specified format and size.
6. Pay the application fee through an online method.
7. After entering all the necessary fields in the application, the applicant must check all details and then submit it.
8. Take a clean print out of the last page with payment receipt and requested completed application form.
9. After completing the printed application form and making its photocopy, retain the original and attach copies of academic and other documents as stated in the admission notification before the deadline.
