Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University Bijapur provides various Under Graduate Courses and Post Graduate Courses in arts, science , commerce, management, education etc Depending upon the stream of their respective departments the eligibility criteria differs. For BA, BSc or BCom, the candidate should have passed 12th standard examination in relevant field with minimum 45 percent marks in the aggregate. MA English does not require a degree in English alone, students can have a graduation degree in English or any other language, MA Economics requires a bachelor degree in Economics with minimum 50% marks. MSc in subjects like Chemistry, Botany, Zoology requires a candidate to have BSc in the relevant subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Eligibility for MBA is a bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks. The BEd course does not have any special requirement for graduation and any graduation, in any stream with minimum of 50% can apply. As the case is with MCom, one must have passed BCom with minimum of 50% marks. Along with the scorecard of the examination conducted by the college, other examination scorecards such as CET, PGCET, KMAT etc, as per the specialization of the course is also accepted.
The University provides approximately 30 undergraduate and post graduate degree courses in faculties of Arts, Science, Social science, Commerce, Management and Education.
The admission to different undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University, Bijapur is carried out through the commencement of admission notification in May every year. Students who want to get admitted can apply through an online process or through the traditional process.

The Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University in Bijapur provides undergraduate courses in various streams inclusive of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management. B.A. programmes for the departments such as Economics, English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology and qualifying examinations like PUC/10+2. Interestingly departments offering B.Sc programs such as Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics and Computer Science admitted students with exams like PUC Science subjects. Under the Commerce and Management department, the B.Com and BBM programs allow applicants who have completed the PUC in any stream or hold a Diploma to apply for admission.
The University teaches undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) with various majors such as Electronics, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Journalism, English Literature, Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Marketing, Finance & Human Resource Management and more.
The Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University (KSAWU) at Bijapur have a number of departments offering different MBA courses. The Management Studies department provides a full-time two-year Master of Business Administration with majors in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, and IT. The eligibility required for this post is that the candidate should be a Bachelor of any discipline with 50 % marks (45% for SC/ST) from a recognized University. KMAT, CMAT, CAT, MAT, ATMA, XAT are the entrance tests considered for admission. The MBA Hospital Administration under the Medical Sciences department is another program that takes 2 years of completion; the applicant has to be a holder of a bachelor degree in any field with a mean score of 50%. Only few universities accept PGCET, KMAT, CMAT as the entrance examination. MBA in Retail Management is floated by commerce department and it is a two year course for any graduate with fifty percent marks in graduation. Recognised tests are CMAT, KMAT, and ATMA.
KSAWU provides complete time 2 year MBA courses where students can specialize in such fields as Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, IT, Hospital Management and Retail Management amongst others.
