Karnataka State Law University Hubli has a number of faculties which provide various programs such as, LLB, LLM, BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB in different disciplines of law, arts, commerce and business administration. The primary requirement for admission to LLB program is graduation with a pass percentage of at least 45% for general category candidates. Candidates who have taken CLAT, LSAT-India, KSLU-PGET may also take admissions for the LLB, BA LLB, BBA LLB and BCom LLB programmes. The LLM program admits students who have acquired an LLB degree and have scored a CUM of at least 50%. Then PhD in Law means LLM and it takes 55% to achieve it. The minimum marks may be relaxed for the reserved categories, as per norms prescribed by the government or the university. In many cases there is no age bar to admission also no entrance exam is necessary to apply directly on appications.
The university provides education in different disciplines such as BA, Bcom, BBA, MA, Mcom, Msc at the under graduate and post graduate level wherein, admission are announced in February each year on merit basis. Entrance tests for admission in law degrees are available in the month of May and June such as CLAT, LSAT India, KSLU-PGET, DU LLB in August 2024. Application for other courses is usually in June and the course starts usually in August of that financial year. To get into LLB 3 year or 5 year integrated law course the candidate has to submit application either online on the university website or has to visit nodal centers and submit the application forms with documentary proof. This accreditation is established and merit list is prepared according to qualifying exam results. The counseling rounds are conducted as per the given timetable prior to start of the courses. KSLU in Hubli is one of the universities in Karnataka state that provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs in law. - This is through the KSLU Entrance Test (KSET) standard that is used to determine the admission of the candidates. This is a written test; candidate has to complete one hundred multiple choice questions that evaluate their general legal knowledge and abilities.
- It is a relatively small educational center with about 80 seats for the LLM program. Regarding reservation policies, there is provision for reserved-seats for SC, ST and other groups as prescribed by the Government.
- There is also performance of the candidate in KSET examination and the performance of the candidate in the undergraduate law degree, which is also known as LLB. The pass marks for admissions are 50 percent marks in aggregate (45 percent for SC/ST category) in LLB.

- In this case, there is no application form for the two programs, only separate application forms for the other programs offered by the university. The very application form of KSET will be used for the admission of candidates to LLM based on merit and reservation.
