Karnataka State Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University (KSRDPRU) is one of the famous university located in Bangalore which provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses in arts, science, commerce, education, law and many other fields. The minimum admission criteria across departments are that the candidate should have passed class 12 or equivalent examination of a recognized central/State Board of Education. For Bachelor of Arts, the subjects needed are those related to the area of interest of the program the student is applying for while for Bachelor of Science, the student should have Science subjects in 12th standard with minimum aggregate marks of 45-60% for different programs. For Bachelor of Commerce course one should have passed Mathematics/Statistics/Business Maths with minimum 50-60% in PCM. Some of the acceptable exams include KCET, PGCET, and CET. All the master degree courses in KSRDPRU entails a relevant bachelor’s degree pass with at least 50% marks.
Some of the programs that the university provides include bachelors degree programs such as BA, BSc, BCom, BSW, BCA, BEd, LLB and many others and masters degree programs like MA, MSc, MCom, MSW, MCA, MEd, LLM and so on.
The admission procedure followed at Karnataka State Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University, Bangalore are both online and offline.
For online registration, the candidates need to go through the official website www.ksrdpru.ac.in and then click the admission tab. They have to register themselves which involves filling some basic information such as name, email id etc. Once registered, candidates can login to their account and complete the application form. The students can pay the application fee online by using either credit/debit cards, net banking, etc.

Karnataka State Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University Bangalore has Undergraduate courses in various specialization fields of arts, science, commerce, management and computer applications etc some of the main UG courses are B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, BBM, BCA etc. The eligibility criterion differs according to the program for the BA, BSc and BCom courses, the candidate must have cleared 12th standard from a recognized board with at least 50% marks in aggregate. BBM and BCA demands the students to have passed 12th in any stream with 50% marks. The allowable qualifying examination for admissions include state board examination, CBSE, CISCE and other national/ state education board. Accepted UG entrance exams are CET, COMEDK.
Undergraduate programs provided by the university include a variety of general disciplines like Economy, sociology, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Accountancy, Finance, Taxation, Banking etc.
The Karnataka State Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University (KSRDPRU) Bangalore has PhD programs in Rural Development, Economics, Sociology, Social Work, and Public administration and other departments. The admission requirement to a PhD program differs from one department to another. For instance, the Rural Development department takes the UGC NET, ICSSR NET, SET/SLET as the eligibility tests while the Economics departments takes only UGC NET, SET/SLET exams for the entry into PhD programme. The eligibility to apply for PhD in the Sociology department entails passing in the entrance test of KSRDPRU besides passing in either UGC NET or SET/SLET tests. The Public Administration department requires candidates to sit for and pass the university entrance exam. Percentage criteria: All departments demand a minimum 55% pass average at the post-graduation level for admission.
