King George Medical University, also known as Lucknow university offers medical, dental, nursing and paramedical courses. Different departments have different prerequisites – MBBS for instance requires candidate to have passed class 12 board with minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Accepted exams include NEET. BDS calls for completion of class twelve with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and qualifying with at least 50 percent in the NEET. Bsc nursing courses require 10+2 qualification in Physics, Chemistry and Biology group.
This university awards under graduate, post graduate and diplomate programs in fields of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Paramedical sciences. The undergraduate courses have an admission criterion in terms of results obtained in national/ state level entrance examination. In case of postgraduate courses, students have to appear for an entrance exam that is conducted by the university. For instance, the application process begins in May every year and the classes commence in August.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
1. Original and photocopy of any one of the documents pertaining to proof of identity and proof of date of birth as mentioned.: Aadhaar card/voter ID/card/driving license/ passport.
2. Date of birth on a passing certificate of Class 10 High School along with mark sheet of the same mentioning parent’s name. This establishes identity.
3. Class Twelve pass out mark sheet along with passing certificate showing the list of subjects covered and marks secured. This confirms academic eligibility.
4. It is the migration certificate from the last board or university attended by the candidate. This was formally done to change institution.
5. Caste certificate from the competent authority if applying in the reserved category. This supports quota eligibility.
6. Character certificate from the institution last attended / gazetted officer of the institution where the candidate works. This speaks to what is expected.
1. Download or collect the application form and fill it and send it with required fee before last date for the respective course.
2. Write entrance examination organized by the KGMU in case it is required for your course.
3. The candidates can check the merit list on the official website of the KGMU for the selected candidates.
4. If secured a merit list, proceed to attend counseling session as timetables. Choose the course and the college in terms of ranking and personal choice.
5. Documents and fees are turned in to complete admission process and to make him or her an admitted student.
6. Students are required to attend a designated college on the specified date for completion of formalities and registration for academic year.
1. Look for entry requirements such as possession of BDS degree, completion of internship, and obtaining more than 50% marks in BDS.
2. To apply online or offline the candidate has to submit the required documents before the date of advertisement’s expiration.
3. Intend to take the entrance exam which is held by the KGMU from May to June.
4. Examine merit list and also they are supposed to attend counseling as per the schedule planned for them.
5. Make the decision to specialize and pay the admission charge.
6. Complete the necessary document verification and then admit to the institution.

2. As per the admission notification, the given admission process can be followed online or offline by submitting the form, uploading documents, and paying fees.
3. If applicable, appear for entrance examination or else merit list is prepared based on scores obtained in qualifying test.
4. Follow the result of the entrance examination or merit list if disclosed by KGMU.
5. If qualified in the exam or merit, the candidate should attend counselling sessions as per the schedule.
6. Final finish formalities by providing necessary documents and other charges at the time of counselling.
7. There is an admission to be given by the institute before a candidate gets enrolled and registers for classes offered.
1. Appear for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)under National Testing Agency (NTA) and obtain qualifying marks.
2. Make sure that you satisfy all or any of the requirements listed by KGMU Lucknow such as age, education, etc.
3. Provide your details in the application form that is available offline and online and remember to pay for the application fees before the deadline is up.
4. If shortlisted, the candidates should attend the counseling process of KGMU as per the given dates. Bring all necessary original documents being used to apply for a loan.
5. If you have got NEET marks and preferences, availability of the seats and other factors you will be given a seat.
6. In the event that the student is offered a seat, he/she should go through the admission process, pay for his/her admission fees, and produce the necessary documents for admission.
