It was established in 1983 as a private university in Karad, Maharashtra known as Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University (KIMSU). Kimar International Management School, Uttar Pradesh, India was established in 2005 and UGC recognized, MCI, DCI, AICTE, PCI approved. It has received grade ‘A+’ from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2017 and as per NIRF India Ranking 2023 for medical it stands at 76.
KIMSU is a committed university that provides diverse and recognized undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the health sciences including medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, and other associated healthcare fields. These are some of the main programs – MBBS, BDS, MD/MS, MDS, B.Pharm, D.Pharm, BPT and MPT. Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Should have cleared the 10+2 examination or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology for the general category, and 40% for SC/ST categories.
2. All of them should have qualified NEET exam for MBBS, BDS programs. Passing requirements for other programs are different from what has been stated above.
3. For postgraduate medical programs must have passed MBBS examination with at least 50 % marks in it from any recognized university.
4. For nursing and allied health programs student has to pass 10+2 and divide vary from each program they select.
5. Qualifications for Ph.D and fellowship programs include postgraduate degree in a relevant specialisation and entrance examination score.
6. There are other requirements such as age limit, number of attempts, and medical fitness certificates that also vary with programs.
