Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For undergraduate programs, the candidate must have cleared 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized board. Admission into postgraduate programs calls for a bachelor’s degree in the field of study from a recognized university.
2. Admission to the respective classes is not restricted by age in any way. This is open to everyone whether one is a working professional or just coming out of school. The university undertakes an open distance learning system of education.
3. For technical programs such as BCA & MCA, the student must have mathematics as one of the subjects in their 10+2 level. English language proficiency is a must.
4. Percentage needed in the qualifying examination also differs in each course. It is 40-45% for the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Commerce, and Bachelor of Science courses respectively. For technical programs, this percentage is 45-50%. A higher percentage is expected of one’s performance in postgraduate degrees.
5. It is customary that reservation for SC, ST, OBC, differently-abled candidate etc. is followed as per the government policy. Additional places that are still open under these categories.
