KKHSOU in Guwahati, Assam has introduced several undergraduate and postgraduate courses in arts, science, commerce, computer application and other fields. In terms of the eligibility criteria, the departments differ. For BA program, candidates should have passed 10+2 in any stream. To be eligible for the BCom program, students need to have passed 10+2 examination in commerce stream with minimum 45% of marks. For BSc, one requires at least 10+2 science stream pass. MA Economics has eligibility for any graduate in Economics or Mathematics/Statistics with minimum 45% marks. To pursue a MCom, one is supposed to have a BCom degree. Masters’ programs such as MSc Computer Science admit students who have a MCSE/BCA/BSc Computer Science qualifications. The University admits students on the basis of qualifying exams like HS, graduation in a relevant stream passed from any recognized board/university. Exam dates as well as admission schedule for the UG and PG programs at the University for the batch of 2024 has been declared. BSc programs examination shall be in November, 2023 while BA/BCom examination will be in December, 2023. The dates of MA, MSc, MCom examinations are in the month of January 2024. The admission for the UG courses is open from May 2023 and for the PG courses the admission is open from July 2023. They offer both direct and entrance based admissions where BHU-PET/CUCET/TANCET examination scores are considered for admission. For the Under Graduate courses they can apply online at University portal in MAY-JUNE 2023 and for Post Graduate Courses in JULY 2023.
Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) is a distance education university in Guwahati, Assam and admits students from all over India. The admission procedure for different undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered at KKHSOU can be completed through both online and offline mode.
For online application, the interested candidates have to log in to the official website, which is www.kkhsou.in and then click on the Online Admission tab. Choose the course you wish to pursue, complete the application form and submit the copies of the documents in soft form. For this, you need to pay the application fees online through credit/ debit card or net banking etc.
For offline application, the candidate has to download the admission form that is provided on the website. Please complete the form and the documents and post it to the University along with a demand draft for the application fee. The admission form is also obtainable at the notified banks where the candidates can pay the fee and submit the form.
