Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University Hatinamati provides various courses in different streams such as Veda, Darshan, Sanskrit Shatra, Bharatiya Samskruti, Yoga, Sangeet, and Kala. The Veda department has the provision of providing Shastri and Acharya degrees, where for getting Shastri degree one has to pass 12th standard and for Acharya degree one must complete Shastri degree. The Darshan department also provides Shastri and Acharya degrees, but for it 12th pass is required for Shastri and Shastri is required for Acharya. The Sanskrit Grammar department provides titles of Snatak, Shiromani and Acharya for those who passed 12th, graduate and Snatak respectively. The Indian Culture department has a Diploma course which has 12th pass qualification. The courses of certification are available in Yoga & Fine Arts departments for the candidates who have passed 10+2. Various courses are allowed to take qualifying exams such as board exams or university exams.
The university provides Veda, Darshan, Sanskrit Grammar, Indian Culture, Yoga and Fine Arts courses. Some of the exams are board exams at the end of twelfth standard and then the graduate level. Admission process begins in May 2024 and can be done through online or offline registration based on the eligibility criteria of the program of choice. It is based on merit or the child’s performance in the entrance examination. It has limited seating capacity with reservation policy that is followed as per the government regulations. It is believed that the exams are to be administered in mid 2024 while the results are to be released by July 2024 for the 2024-2025 academic year. Application process is completed by August year before the beginning of the academic year.

For online submission of the application, the candidates are required to log on to www.kbvsasunh.ac.in. To get there, try going to the home page then click on the ‘Admission’ link, then choose your preferred course. It is recommended to take time and read through the eligibility criteria, dates to consider, fees for application among other details. To begin with the process of application, one has to get himself or herself registered by submitting certain information. You use the username and password which has been generated by the system. The users are required to complete an application form and provide scanned copies of necessary documents according to the guidelines. The application fee payment can be made online through credit/debit card or net banking etc After submission, take the print out of the filled application and all the required documents for further use.
To apply offline, go to the university administrative office and get the prospectus and the application form depending on your course of interest. In the application form, complete the personal and academic history with relevant information and enclose the necessary documents. Duly filled in the application form, along with demand draft of prescribed application fees, should be send to the admin office before the last date. - To be eligible to apply you need to have passed your Masters degree in the relevant subject with not less than 55% marks. Some of these categories have restrictions and some have freedom depending on government regulations.
- The entrance examination takes place in August/September and can include an objective part of the exam as well as an interview.
