State university; Kurukshetra University which is located in Kurukshetra, Haryana was established in the year 1956. It is also approved by the University Grants Commission of India and nationally accredited ‘A’ Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council. It was in the recently released NIRF University rankings 2023 where Kurukshetra University was ranked between 101-150.
The university has various programs for undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs in faculties such as arts, science, commerce, education, law, management and engineering & Technology and several others. Some of the most sought after degrees include; BTech, MBA, BBA, BCA, BA, BSc, BCom, MA, MSc, MCom, etc. The admission usually begins in May each year and the examinations are from March to May of the following year. Above 80% of the students were placed for engineering and technical graduates; the average salary packages varied from 3.5 to 8,00,000 for engineering and technical graduate and for postgraduate programs the average salaries varied from 4 to 10,00,000. The highest salary package was 16 LPA, the seventh highest salary was 15 LPA and the eighth highest salary was 15 LPA. It is believed that the placement ratios would again rise in 2023 & 2024.
