Maharaja Agrasen University is a self-financed University of Private nature located in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. It was set up in 1995 and is accredited by UGC and is recognized by AICTE. The university has also been accredited by Grade ‘A’ of NAAC and ranked in 101-150 in NIRF 2023 university rankings. It provides all levels of education for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral studies in various fields such as business, engineering, law, media, education, architecture.

The university provides several programs in the various fields including engineering such as the BTech and MTech, business such as BBA and MBA, computer science such as BCA and MCA, humanities such as BA and MA, commerce such as BCom and MCom and among others. Some of the Standard entrance exam accepted includes MET, CAT, MAT, XAT and the like. It is important to note that the admission process goes on throughout the year with the admission list for each session beginning from February. There are two stages involved in the selection procedure: the written examination and the personal interview.

Maharaja Agrasen University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. For admission to the bachelor degree programs the candidate needs to be 10+2 pass with minimum 50% marks from any of the recognized board. 

2. To apply for a master’s degree programs, one needs to have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field and must have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university.

3. MBA program admission needs one’s bachelor’s degree in any field with minimum 50% marks and score of any standard entrance test.

4. It is mandatory to pass 10+2 examination with physics, chemistry, mathematics each subject minimum 50% marks from any recognized board. 

5. MTech admission is in the relevant branch with a minimum 60% in BTech/BE or valid GATE scores.
