Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT) is an agricultural university in Rajasthan state, India situated in Udaipur city. It was founded in 1999 and is approved by UGC with NAAC accreditation with B+ grade. In NIRF university rankings 2023, MPUAT stands 62nd in the list of agricultural university in India.
This university is a teaching and research institution that provides bachelor and postgraduate degrees in several disciplines in agriculture, animal production, agricultural engineering, forestry, home economics, and pure science. The major courses being offered include BSc (Agriculture), BVSc & AH, BTech (Agricultural Engineering), MSc (Agri), and MTech programmes. The university administers semester examinations in November/December and April/May each year. Admission normally takes place in May when certain students are offered a place based on their performance in qualifying and admission tests. The admission for the 2024 batch will be open from April 2023.

The average package of the students varies between Rs. 5 to 8 lakhs per annum for the different positions in the research, teaching, production, quality, marketing, analytics and agricultural extensions.

Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology and English as main subjects obtaining at least 50% marks in aggregate.
2. For BSc programs, students should have taken the relevant subjects in 10+2 level as per the program offered like Agriculture, Home Science, Basic Sciences etc.
3. For MSc and PhD programs, basic eligibility criteria include having a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the concerned field with not less than the prescribed percentage of marks.
4. Candidates belonging to the reserved category will be given certain relaxations in terms of eligibility norms in accordance with government policies. 5% relaxation for the differently abled candidates as per the norms will also be applicable.
5. Final year students are allowed to apply but they must produce pass certificate and marks sheet at the time of admission.
6. Apart from academic achievement, a candidate may need to pass an entrance exam or interview for admission depending on the programs offered.
