National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra or NIT, Kurukshetra is an Institute located in the state of Haryana in India that is financed by the government. NIT Kurukshetra was established in the year 1963 and is one among the NITs under Institute of National Importance under the act of Indian Government. It has been accredited at the national level with NAAC, National Assessment and Accreditation Council where it has been given the ‘A’ grade. As per the NIRF rankings 2023 which are recently announced by the government, NIT Kurukshetra has been placed at 37th position among all engineering colleges in India.  

NIT Kurukshetra has been providing B-tech, M-tech, MCA as well as Ph.D. in different streams of engineering, science, management studies and humanities. Some of the courses which are most sought are B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, MCA and so on. The admission process require the candidate to sit for the national level examination for admission into B.Tech programs such as JEE Main and for admission into postgraduate programs, candidates sit for the GATE examination. Admissions for the 2024 batch will be conducted around March 2024 and all the information can be accessed on the official website of the college. Examinations will be administered according to the timetable put in place from April to June of the year 2024.

The college is a premier institute and hence has a very good placement record where various companies in various fields come to the college to recruit students every year. Some of Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, Adobe, Tata Motors, Infosys, and other companies are some of the leading recruiters. More than 500 students have already got placement offers with the highest stipulated pay being 47 LPA. The placement record for eligible students and average package offered was as follows with over 80% of the students placed. In the core branch of engineering, students got more than one offer in the package of 15 LPA from some of the top-notch companies.

NIT Kurukshetra Placements 2024

NIT Kurukshetra have been quite good in the past and have gained a reputation over the years. The highest number of placements in 2023 was recorded in the month of February, where more than 800 students got placed in different firms, while the highest annual salary package offered to the students was Rs 43.33 LPA by the Microsoft firm. As for the remuneration, the average salary package offered to the students is about Rs 900000. Companies such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Reliance etc are active recruiters Some 15 plus companies have been known to offer packages of more than Rs 20 LPA. IT giants like Infosys, IBM, TCS, hiring campus recruits for various IT domains along with product based companies like Samsung, Qualcomm, MediaTek etc also frequently recruit from campus. The institute attracts more than 150 total companies and more than 85 percent of the students get placed every year.
