NIIT University (NU) is a private, not-for-profit, coeducational university established in Neemrana in Rajasthan, India. It was established in the year 2009 and is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India and received an accreditation of ‘A’ grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. According to the NIRF rankings of 2023, NIIT University is ranked 76 overall in India for all universities.
It provides various levels of education to the learners including Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctorate and covers a broad area of specialization which include-Engineering, Management, Information Technology, Design, Arts, and Science. The most sought after courses which are offered at NU are B.Tech (CSE/ECE), MBA, BBA, Integrated M.Tech., B. Des and M. Sc(CS/Physics). NIIT University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Aspirants must be a 10+2 or equivalent passed from any recognized centralized or state board of education. It also helps that overall percentage required differs from program to program at 50% to 60%. Further, there is age restriction that the candidate must be below 25 years for UG courses.
2. Candidates pursuing 10+2 exam from Science, Commerce, or Arts can apply for BTech programmes. Thus, for BBA, BCA programs, any stream with relevant mathematics is preferable.
3. JEE Main, SAT, ACT scores are acceptable but not mandatory means students can also give other examinations. University also has its own test, which is also a good way to check the levels of learners. They may enhance the chances of being given admission especially where scores are high.
4. To be eligible for MTech programs, the candidate needs to have scored at least 60% of marks in BTech/BE from a recognized technical university. However, candidates having qualified GATE are preferable but not mandatory.
5. MBA course admission eligibility criteria require the candidates to possess a bachelor’s degree with not less than 50% marks. Industrial experience and national level CAT type tests are considered during admission.
6. Besides, in the admission offer, the candidate’s profile encompassing previous academics, co-curricular activities, and work experience is considered. Good speaking and writing skills of the English language are required.
