Noida Institute of Engineering & Technology (NIET) is a private engineering college founded in 1996 in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The NIET was set up in 2001 and is recognized by the AICTE apart from being affiliated to the AKTU, Lucknow. NIET has been accredited by NAAC with B++ grade accreditation. As per NIRF ranking 2023 which was recently released NIET has been placed in the 201-250 bracket for the best engineering colleges in India. 

The institute provides undergraduate and postgraduate education in multiple fields of engineering and technology comprising computer science engineering, Electronics & Communication engineering, Electrical & Electronics engineering, Mechanical engineering, Civil engineering, and Information technology engineering. He further informed that the admission process of the batch of 2024 will start in the month of February 2023. Students have to write state or national level tests such as UPSEE or JEE Mains, and after that they are offered an admission after counseling. Concerning the examination dates for essential tests and the admission deadlines, they will be posted at the university’s official website.

Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. For admission to BTech programs, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in PCM/PCB stream with minimum 60% marks in the aggregate from a recognized board/University.

2. For the MTech programs, the candidates should possess a Bachelors degree in Technology / Bachelor of Engineering or its equivalent in the relevant branch with not less than 60% aggregate marks from any recognized university. 

3. For BCA program, candidates need to have a minimum 50% aggregate marks in their 10+2 or equivalent examination conducted by any recognized board. A pass in mathematics at senior secondary level, that is, 10+2 is compulsory.

4. For MCA program the candidates need to have minimum 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree in any stream from any University recognized by the university. Mathematics in class XII level is compulsory. 

5. As mentioned above, for MBA program the candidates who have passed their bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university are eligible. 

6. For all programs, the concessions and accommodations of SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates will be as per the government norms.

Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET) is a multi disciplinary technical campus offering under graduate and post graduate courses in engineering, technology and management disciplines. Some of the major courses taught at NIET comprises of the Bachelor of Technology which is available in areas such as computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering among others. It also provides MTech programs in areas of VLSI Design, Digital communication, Thermal Engineering, Structural Engineering and Computer Science. 

The BTech programs take 4 years of completion, however the MTech programs span 2 years. These programs are admission based with IITs and other engineering institution accepting scores of national/state level engineering entrance exams. The teaching staff is well qualified with most of them holding ph.D degrees from various university. The institute boasts of its having good laboratories, library, classrooms, etc The course curriculum imparts technical knowledge and also lays a lot of stress on developing student personality.
