Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences or NIMS is the medical center facility situated in Hyderabad of Telangana state. NIMS was founded in 1951 and is approved by the Medical Council of India and got NAAC ‘A’ Grade approval. According to NIRF 2023 ranking of medical colleges in India NIMS stands at 10th position.

Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. For admission to MBBS program candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology as main subjects obtaining not less than 50% of the total marks for the main subjects (40% in case of SC/ST candidate). They must also qualify the NEET exam for them to be considered for admission in the course.

2. The candidates who wish to apply for the MD/MS have to complete the MBBS degree from a recognized university/institute. The candidates should have completed one year of rotatory internship they should clear NEET PG exam with minimum percentile rank. 

3. For DM/MCh super specialty courses the minimum qualification is MD/MS or equivalent qualification in the concerned specialty. They also require 3 years teaching experience after obtaining their MD/MS degree as a precondition for applying.

4. For the RN to BScN, BScN, MScN programs the admission requirements are 10+2 SCIENCE OR EQUIVALENT EXAMINATION with the minimum aggregate percentage as per the category of the candidate. 

5. For allied health programs such as BSc MLT and BSc Optometry, candidates must have passed 10+2 exam in Science stream with minimum 50% marks for Gen/OBC category (43% for SC/ST/PH) aggregate as well.

6. For admission to paramedical diploma programs, the candidates should have passed their 10+2 examination with science as the main stream with minimum 40% marks for general category candidates and 35% for SC/ST category candidates. The minimum age requirement is 17 years of age for student and young working adult.
