Oriental University is a leading Private University only in Indore in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It was founded in 2011, but within a short period of time, it has become one of the most popular universities in the central region of India. NAAC has awarded Oriental University the accreditation of grade A, which is an acknowledgment of the institution’s quality of teaching and faculty. In the newly released 2023 NIRF ranking of all private universities in India, it was ranked 45th. 

The university is equipped with a comprehensive list of graduate and postgraduate courses for students. Some of the well-known courses offered at Oriental University include Engineering-Computer Science, Mechanical, Civil, Electronics among others, Business and MBA, Law, Mass communication and Journalism, Pharmacy, Education, and many others. It is also important to note that the admission for the 2024 batch will be in May, 2023. Students may apply online through the university website or through other portal websites designated for the purpose. They are selected based on their performance in National level tests such as JEE Main, CAT, CLAT etc; Semester exams are conducted in November and April. A curriculum also contains practical examinations, vivas, and internships as some of the main parts.

Oriental University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. The eligibility criteria for the admission of the candidates include pass in 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with minimum %age marks between 50% to 60% as per the course.

2. For BTech programmes, the candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics/ Biology/ Biotechnology / Technical Vocational subjects and English Core/English Electricity/ Mathematics/ Physical Sciences as optional subject. 3. Age limitation required for undergraduate programs is to be at least 17 years of age on 1st July of the admission year. No upper age limit.

4. There are state or central government norms under which the reserved category candidates can get relaxation on cut-off percentages as well. Candidates under the disabled category are also given 5% marks adjustment.

5. University also prospect those students who have done their diploma after 10th for direct admission in BTech depending upon availability of seat. Some of the programs admit transferees at Second Year level as well like the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA Las Piñas.

6. Besides these academic criteria, the candidates are also expected to pass the University written eligibility test and/or personal interview tests held at different centers.

Currently, Oriental University is a private university in Indore, Madhya Pradesh that has all the educational courses from undergraduate to postgraduate to doctoral levels in fields such as business administration, computer applications, commerce, science, arts, education, law, etc.
