OUAT in Bhubaneswar was established in the year 1962; it provides various bachelors and masters in different fields of agriculture. They consist of departments such as the department of Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Veterinary Sciences, Fisheries, Forestry, Basic Science and Humanities among others. The eligibility requirement for the candidates seeking admission into Agriculture BSc programme include; the candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination from any stream or any other equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology/Agriculture. OUAT conducts its own entrance exam or candidates can take admission by scoring well in National Level entrance exams such as JEE Main, OJEE etc The course is B.V.Sc & AH and the eligibility criteria involves scoring minimum 50% marks in HSC or any equivalent examination with subjects such as Biology/Biology/Agriculture and Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics. It is obligatory for the candidates to be a pass in OJEE, OUAT or NEET UG. The Foresry and Wildlife bachelor’s degree programs are admission based on merit in the 10+2 exams and some of the national level entrance tests as OUAT entrance exams, OJEE, JEE Main, UPES, ICAR AIEEA etc.
Graduate and post-graduate programs available at OUAT are focused on agriculture, agricultural engineering, veterinary science and animal husbandry. The university offers undergraduate programs such as Bachelor in Technology (B.Tech), postgraduate programs in Master of Science (MSc & MTech) and Doctorate programs. The online application procedure for the OUAT is quite easy and as follows; No application is required as the process begins with the candidate having to first get registered on the admission portal and provide some basic information about themselves.
