Pandit Lakshmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts, which is also abbreviated as PLCSUPVA, is a state university situated in Rohtak, Haryana, India. Its inception was in 2014 and has education in the performing and visual arts as its central area of interest. PLCSUPVA provides education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in disciplines such as fine arts, vocal and instrumental music, dance, drama, media and communication, film and television. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is accredited with ‘B++’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). PLCSUPVA provides opportunities for diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate degrees in painting, applied arts, sculpture, music (Vocal/Instrumental), Dance (Kathak/Bharatanatyam), Drama, Film & Television Studies. Major undergraduate courses include BPA (Bachelor of Performing Arts), BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) and BA (Hons) in Journalism & Mass Communication. Pandit Lakshmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Explaining the eligibility criteria, candidates should have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination in Science/Commerce/Humanities disciplines with not less than 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board as a mandatory requirement for applying the recruitment.
2. For BPA, BA, BFA and BPA programs, the candidate must have passed 10+2 in any stream. It may be noted that minimum eligibility marks may vary depending upon the state government rules and regulation.
3. Reservation and relaxation in the minimum eligibility for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per state government norms. It can be limited to a certain age, upper age limit may be included.
4. Any candidate who is aspiring to appear in the 10+2 or equivalent examination can apply. However, the admission to the course will be on the basis of the qualifying examination with the prescribed percentage.
5. Foreign candidates should have passed qualifying examination equivalent to the examination conducted by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
6. Further, qualifying entrance tests, interview and or portfolio review may be required for specific programs as stated.
