The university was established in 2019 by the Government of Haryana, with the name of Pandit Lakshmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts Rohtak is dedicated to performing arts. This university provides undergraduate and post graduate courses in 6 streams of Music, Dance, Visual arts, Film & Television, Dramatics and Heritage & Craft Design. The BPA and MPA degrees in Music and Dance would admit students who have passed 12th with arts subjects as the main stream, while other courses like BA Visual Arts and MFA Painting would require 10+2 with any stream and 50% marks. The amount of percentage required for OBC, SC/ST students for shydulic regulations is 40 percent. All courses also accept the score of the qualifying exams like UGC-NET, HTET, etc All the PG courses also accept CGPA Scores.
The university provides the following UG & PG courses across different specializations: MPA Music & Dance BVA & MFA Visual Arts Bachelors & Masters Theatre & Dramatics Bachelors & Masters Heritage Craft Design MHC Bachelor & Master Interior Design PG Diploma Other than these, the university also provides the short term certificate and distance learning. Some of the exams like UGC-NET, HTET come up with their application dates that are normally in December while the exam is conducted in January. for undergraduate programs, the admission is done based on qualifying the 12th standard exams as well as university tests that take place from June-August of the year 2024. Most Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in PLCSU offer admission up to August 31, 2024. It’s by the performance in the written entrance tests and/or interviews/auditions which are conducted during July and August.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
1. This may be in the university website or in an advertisement stating that B.Arch admissions are open. This usually comes out in national newspapers or on the university website around May/June each year.
2. Instead, depending on the situation, the notifications are out to click on the application link in the advertisement or on the university website. This will take you to the online application form.
3. Go to the university admissions portal and sign up for an account by providing your personal information.
4. Complete the B.Arch application form with all necessary information including name, marks, address, contact details etc.
5. Scan and upload photograph, signature, class 10 and 12 mark sheets, school leaving certificate etc. as per the dimensions and format prescribed.
6. Choose the payment gateway link to make online payment of the application fees through net banking, credit cards, UPI etc.
7. The applicant can also download and print the completed application form together with the application number for future use.
8. The completed application form should be submitted before the dates specified in the admission notice.
9. If there are written tests and/or interviews, please refer to the university website frequently in order to see new shortlists. Attend the selection procedures as and when scheduled.
10. If chosen, carry out the admission procedures by providing necessary documents and payments.
