Patliputra University, Patna Bihar provides various programs at ug and pg level in arts, science, commerce, law, education, management etc. The departments are History, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Mathematics, Political Science, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Geography etc The admission criteria may differ in various departments and branches, general criteria for arts/science/commerce groups are 45-50% of aggregate marks in class School leaving certificate, mark sheets and other documents related to education such as CBSE, CISCE etc are acceptable. All the streams have semester system divided over three years for the bachelor’s programs and two years for Masters. The University has taken semester examination twice in a year and generally it is held in the month of November/December & April/May every year. For admission to UG programs, the Merit scores of the 12th standard are taken into consideration; For admission to Masters program, both the graduation scores and any national/state level examination scores are considered.
