Periyar University is a University located in the Salem, Tamil Nadu and it provides a wide array of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma and Ph.D. Programs in Arts, Science, Commerce, Education, Physical Education and Engineering streams. Even for BA courses the pass 12th standard is considered as an eligibility for doing that course. BSc requires 12th Science. BCom requires 12th any stream also required mathematics/accounts commerce stream. For BE/BTech one requires 12th Science with maths/physics/chemistry and minimum percentage is required. MBA/MCA opens its doors for all graduates irrespective of the discipline but requires them to sit for tests such as TANCET, MAT or CAT.
This University provides courses in various fields such as arts, science, education, commerce, engineering, and many more. Students can apply if they are online or off-line. The application fees have to be remitted through online mode or DD as per the details mentioned in the prospectus along with the xerox copies of the marks memos of 10th and 12th classes, transfer certificate, the certificate for the reserved category (if applicable) and the hall ticket of the entrance test (if required). At UG level merit is considered while for PG entrances scores are considered for the admission.

Documents Required for Admission in PU Salem for Different Courses:
1. To do it you can fill it online on university website and submit the required documents along with the application fee.
2. Await the merit list announcement based on the set criteria depending on the university the students have applied.
3. In case any candidate finds himself qualified in the merit list, then he should attend the counseling as per schedule.
4. Select course and college after going through the merit rank during counseling.
5. Till the candidate pays the admission fee, it will not be definite that the candidate has been given a seat in the particular college or university.
6. Final admission process at the respective college with relevant documents.
1. Check eligibility – The candidates should meet the following job requirements: The candidate should be done with their B.Sc in the related subject of their specialization with not less than 50% aggregate.
2. It is essential that individuals who meet the above-mentioned requirements should submit their details online through the official website of the university before the given deadline for application.
3. Scan and upload the form – Apart from the form that needs to filled and submitted online, scanned copies of necessary academic documents, photos.
4. Application fees- Every application requires an application fee and can be paid online with the submission of the form.
5. Admit card - Hall ticket can be available online for the students who are able to appear in the entrance examination.
6. University conducted entrance test – candidates who meet the application criteria are subjected to sit for the university entrance exam.
7. Counselling, last but not the least selection criterion will be the academic performance analysis, entrance test scores, availability of seats and counselling.
