Radha Govind University in Ramgarh, Jharkhand offers different undergraduate and postgraduate courses in science, arts, commerce and many more, engineering, law etc and the requirement of eligibility for each program is different. For B.Tech degree, students must clear their Class 12th exams with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as compulsory subjects and must have secure minimum 60% PCM percentage. JEE Main & WBJEE are the accepted exams for admissions. For BA degree, an applicant must pass their Class 12th examination for any stream with a minimum of 50% mark. Entry qualifications which are acceptable include HS exam carried out by CBSE/ICSE or State Boards. MBA requires graduation in any field with 50 % for the candidate and also the candidate should have a score in CAT/MAT. LLB can be done after Graduation in any stream with minimum 55% aggregates as the eligibility criteria.
It has various courses depending on the faculties such as engineering, sciences, arts, commerce, education, law and management faculties. Some of them include B.Tech (Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering) Master of Business Administration, Arts and Science stream, Bachelor of Arts (Hons/Prog), Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Computer Applications, B.Sc (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Biology), Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Education. Concerning the admission process to the 2024 academic session, this will be open from January 2023. The main admission tests such as JEE Main will be held in the first week of April 2023, CAT/MAT examination in November/December 2023. The steps included in admission cycle are as follows: registration the student online, upload documents, pay the application fee, take the entrance exam (if required), attend counselling for seat allotment and finally, confirmation of the admission. It is expected that the classes shall kick off from August 2024 for all the courses offered in the institution.
The admission process for the undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as B.Tech, BCA, MCA, M.Tech, MBA in Radha Govind University Ramgarh are available both online and offline.
To apply online, candidates should follow the link given below and get to the homepage of RGU website at www.rgu.ac.in. When on the admissions page, go to the admissions page and click on ‘apply now’ then join and fill the basics about yourself. An application form will appear for applicants where they can write their academic as well as personal information. Photocopies of the documents and any photographs that were taken also have to be digitized and uploaded. The payment of the application fee can be made online using credit/debit card or through banking transactions etc. On submitting the application, a unique application number is provided for tracking the status.
To apply offline, candidates can use a filled out form which can be downloaded from the university website or can pickup a form from the admission office of RGU. Original documents, duly notarized undertaking and receipts/ Demand Draft of the application fees must also be posted to the Registrar’s office or deposited in person before the stipulated cutoff date with the photocopies of documents and the completed forms. The list of admission is available at the university website and candidates are informed accordingly.
- There may also be certain prerequisites that the universities mention while admitting students such as the minimum educational qualifications, the scores obtained in the entrance tests, etc. Do not forget to fulfill all such conditions.
- The details of releasing of the application form, registration for entrance examination in case, counselling session etc are generally provided much in advance on the university website. Keep checking for updates.
- This involves ensuring that you are ready to take any test that the institution may require, an interview and or any other test as may be required.
- After the completion of the course, admission will be granted on merit basis in the qualifying examination. D.Pharma admission requires that the candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics for the final admission.
- For admission to the D.Pharma course, the university even holds its own entrance exam. Some of the questions are physics, chemistry, mathematics / biology based on the curriculum of 10 + 2.
- After conducting the entrance test, the marks for the test are added with the marks of the qualifying exam and a merit list is prepared. There are two merit lists: the first one contains the candidates to be offered admission to the 1 st year of the D.Pharma program; the second one includes the list of candidates who are to be offered admission to the D.Pharma program on the basis of their rank.
- In the event of the scores being equal or tie, the candidate who obtained the higher percentage in the qualifying examination shall be considered. The last of it is that if there is still a tie, then older candidates will be considered as priorities.
- In addition to these academic prerequisites, candidates also have to pass the medical fitness test prescribed by the university to confirm the seat.

4. If applying online - Visit the portal where you are likely to find a registration form where you are required to enter your name, e-mail address, phone number and other necessary information.
5. Submit an online form that is provided by the school or university. Scan your photo and signature and upload it in the correct pixel size and dimensions as prescribed.

8. Enclose the DD/cash for the fee for the course along with the application and forward the same to the university office before the date mentioned for admission. Amount of money which will be required for admission will be stated.
9. Remember to save or capture the confirmation/acknowledgment page or payment receipt.
10. Visit the website of the university frequently for the list of shortlisted candidates, merits list and information on counselling/admission procedure. Attend as per schedule.

4. Pay the application fee through an online mode or through other modes if instructed to do so.
5. Option – Download/Print the completed application form along with the application number for further use.
6. Take a print out of the completed form with you, and attach the photocopies of documents and demand draft for fees (if applicable) and send the same to the university before the last date.
