Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences is a State University situated at Bikaner, Rajasthan and offers education in veterinary and animal science. It has NAAC grade A and it is ranked 65 among the top veterinary science colleges in India as per NIRF 2023 ranking. RAJUVAS provides education up to the doctorate level through 6 colleges and 16 research institutes in veterinary, animal sciences and fisheries.
Undergraduates are taught the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) and the Bachelor of Fisheries Sciences (BFSc). At postgraduate level, it provides M.V.Sc, M.Sc and Ph.D research programs in more than 20 specializations including Veterinary Pharmacology, Animal Biochemistry, Veterinary Parasitology and many more. Interested candidates can apply in the months of May when the application forms are available and written tests are held in July /August. It is done based on the merit obtained in the qualifying examination and RAJUVAS entrance examination.
The placement cell at RAJUVAS is always bustling with the process of recruitment of graduates in various sectors of veterinary healthcare. Some of the reputed organizations like Amul, Hester Biosciences and Zoetis come for campus placement. The maximum salary offered was 14 LPA while the average salary offered was 6.2 LPA. A total of 87 percent of the registered graduates got placement in firms such as Vetoquinol India, Provimi Animal Nutrition and Alivira Animal Health. In 2022 placements, the dairy sector hired the most graduates while the second largest number of graduates was hired by companies in the poultry and pharmaceuticals industries. A number of students also appeared in many Government exams like IBPS, ICAR (NET/ARS/SRF), and SSC.

1. The candidates should have completed their 10 + 2 or equivalent examination in science stream with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Mathematics subjects obtaining 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) to get BVSc and AH, BTech, undergraduate degrees.
2. For Master’s programs such as MVSc, MTech or PhD, the candidates have to possess the relevant Bachelor’s degree in the concerned field with at least 60% marks aggregate (55% for SC/ST/OBC) from a recognized university/institute.
3. The entrance examination such as REET, RPVT, etc. are required for the admission into BVSc and AH program as per the university and state government guidelines.
4. Application process requires the completion of an application form which is filled online with an online payment of application fees through the website and uploading of scanned documents.
5. It operates under the principle of merit and those applicants who performed badly in the last qualifying examination will be automatically rejected irrespective of their entrance test scores if available.
6. The reservation policy of the state government is implemented with a certain percentage of total seats reserved for SC, ST, OBC, EWS candidates in various programs as per norms.
Veterinary and Animal Science University of Rajasthan, popularly known as Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS) is located at Bikaner, Rajasthan and has Various Under Graduate, Post Graduate, and Doctoral Programe in Veterinary and Animal Sciences and allied Field.
