The Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS) is situated in Bikaner and offers several programs in the field of veterinary science and animal husbandry including undergraduate and postgraduate degree. For the Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) program, candidates must have completed 10+2 in Science with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination from a recognized board. For this program, SET-RAJUVAS or NEET examination is mandatory for the students. The eligibility criteria for the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Dairy Technology is 10+2 in science with minimum 45% marks and qualifying JEE Main or REAP for admission. For admission to courses like Bachelor of Fishery Sciences, candidates must have passed the REAP or any other national/state level examination and must have passed 10+2 in science stream.
In the admission process for Academic year 2024, the University offers several undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate courses in different departments such as Veterinary Pathology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Animal Genetics and Breeding, Livestock Farm Management, etc. These important courses contain BVSc & AH, B.Tech in Dairy Technology, M.V.Sc, M.Tech, M.Sc and Ph.D. The qualifying exams accepted across all programs in The registration and application submission for various UG and PG level starts in the month of May every year. For PhD programs, admission notification is as follows: University provides admission notification in June/July every year and the entrance test is held in August/September and the counseling process is also done. Finally, the admission is given based on the entrance examination result, academic achievement and personal interview conducted annually.
The Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bikaner, has invited applications for admissions to its Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry. The admission to the RAJUVAS can be done both online as well as offline by the students.
For online application, candidates are required to log onto the official website and that is www.rajuvas.org. This is done by going to the home page of the school; then go to ‘Admission’ sub tab and choose the preferred program. The applicants have to get themselves registered and complete the application form, scan and attach documents, and pay the fees of the application online through net banking, debit/credit card.
For offline process, candidates can download the RAJUVAS admission form which is mentioned in the official website. Original application forms, duly completed, should be accompanied by a demand draft for the application fee and sent to the Registrar at the University address, on or before the stipulated date. Candidates should also enclosing attested copies of mark sheets of qualifying examination, certificate of qualifying examination, if any category certificate etc. After the application process is done, the university will publish the merit lists of the candidates who have been selected for counseling and document verification before admission. Official admission takes place every year between June to August.
1. Candidates must possess Master’s degree in the concerned discipline with minimum 55% marks in Master’s level or equivalent grade. Preference will be given to candidates having NET/SLET qualification.
2. The selection is done by writing an examination that is followed by an interview. The written test comprises of two papers: The packs consist of Paper I General aptitude & awareness and Paper II Subject paper. To be eligible for the interview, candidates have to get a minimum pass mark in both papers as set by the university.
3. Overall, the final decision depends on the candidate’s written test and interview performance combined. This means that the rooms are reserved according to the provision of the government.
4. According to the availability of seats in the Ph.D program, students are admitted to the program and no candidate can claim a seat as he or she has passed in the written examination and interview.
5. It is important for selected candidates to undergo pre PhD course work as determined by the university within first one or two semesters before engaging in full PhD research work.
1. Look out for university’s website or an advertisement on how to apply for Ph.D. intake at the university. This is usually in the period that most schools are on their long vacation which is in summer each year.
2. After notifications are out, one can download the application form and prospectus from the university website or can write to the university to get it through post.
3. The prospectus contains information about the eligibility criteria, number of seats available, important dates regarding the course and application process details.
4. Complete the application form in the right manner and include necessary documents such as photocopies of academic certificates, experience letters, etc.
5. If there are any application fees required, include the proof of payment with the form. Tuition fees on the other hand can be paid online or through demand draft.
6. In addition to this, after filling the application form, attach all the necessary documents and submit the form before the last date through the university’s registrar office or through registered/speed post.
7. The candidates selected for the Final list have to take an entrance examination and an interview that are organized by the university.
8. Rolls are granted for qualified candidates depending on merit, the speciality and the positions open for application etc.
9. Lastly, secure admission by paying the fees and any other procedures that are required as per the university standards.
- RAJUVAS offers M.Sc. courses in approximately 18 subject areas that includes Veterinary Science, Animal Science, and Dairy Technology. Some of the popular programs offered include M.Sc. in Animal Biotechnology, Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Parasitology, Animal Nutrition, etc.
- The university declares its admission to M.Sc. conferences and other related programs mostly in the month of June/July in each year. The advertisement is placed in the principal dailies as well as on the university website at rajuvas.org.
- Applicants should possess BVSc & AH degree of a recognized university with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST). Some disciplines may have more requirements for a student to meet in order to be eligible for admission to the course.
- The candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the qualifying examination conducted for the post. RAJUVAS university conducts an entrance examination only and only if the number of students who applied for the university is more than the number of seats available in the university.
- The total intake capacity for different courses of M.Sc. of the programs is about 140 seats. In individual disciplines, the number of declared seats may be from 8 to 20.
- The admission process is done online via the university’s website. Applicants are required to complete the application form and attach the necessary papers.

2. Go to this website and download the M.Sc. application for admission form as soon as it is uploaded.
3. Review the admission requirements and the M.Sc. before filling the form the students should make certain decision regarding the programs, number of seats etc.
4. It is advisable to complete all the fields of the application form and indicate all the necessary information.
5. Enclose the required documents along with the application form like photocopies of mark sheets, certificates, ID etc..
6. Submit the demand draft or online payment of the prescribed application fee.
7. Enclose the fully filled application form along with the documents and the fee receipt either through online mode if provided or send the hard copy of the application to the university within the due date.
8. After applying, always check the university’s website for admission test details, selection list, etc.
9. Take the admission test/interview as per the requirement for the M.Sc. program for which you have applied as most departments have their unique ways of presenting the program.
10. In case the candidates have been selected then they have to complete the admission process by submitting other documents and fees if any.
