The Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), or IIIT Basar, is a state university in Nirmal district of Telangana. It is affiliated with the Osmania University, Hyderabad, and approved by the Government of Telangana and is ‘A’ grade NAAC accredited. 

It conducts several programs in different faculties of engineering, sciences, humanities and commerce at under graduate and post graduate levels. Some of the most sought courses include the Btech in the computer sciences, electronics, civil engineering, and mechanical engineering. Some of the key events in 2024 are the COMEDK UGET exam, held in May 2023, and further counselling in June. Hence the admission is done by the RGUKT entrance test and the relative performance in state board exams. The process of admission includes, applying for admission online, taking RGUKT CET examination, counselling and admission.

Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies Courses Details 2024

1. The candidate should have cleared 10+2 or equivalent examination in science/commerce/ humanities to obtain 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in the respective stream.

2. For engineering programs, the candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or an equivalent examination. In addition to Mathematics and Chemistry, candidates should also have Biology for Biotechnology. 

3. The candidates are required to have completed 10+2 to be eligible for BSc programs; the stream of the examination should be science with the relevant subjects according to the specialization chosen. 

4. For admission to BA/BCom/BBA programs the candidate must have passed 10+2 in any stream with minimum aggregate percentage of the marks.

5. SC/ST candidates are given 5% relaxation in their qualifying marks as far as their eligibility for the jobs are concerned. Candidates with disability get a chance of 5% reduction on the requirements of the job.

6. Interested candidates who meet the required standard concerning the eligibility requirements of the university in question can apply online or through other means in the physical world before the closing date that the university sets as a deadline.
