Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College (SVEC) is one of the renowned engineering colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh with its campus situated in the holy city of Tirupati. It was started in 2007 is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada and is aproved by AICTE New Delhi. SVEC is one of the best colleges and in 2020, it received ‘B++ Grade’ from NAAC with Global CGPA of 2.7. In the NIRF India Rankings 2023 for engineering colleges, SVEC has been placed in the 151 - 200 band.
SVEC has a technical and professional education with undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering and computer science branches including Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. UG courses offered have received high demand among students; the most sought courses are B.Tech in CS, Mechanical and EC with 240, 120, and 180 intakes respectively. Admissions to the SVEC for the academic year 2024 are based on national level entrance tests such as JEE Main, AP EAMCET, and the admission process is generally opened in May every year. Internal tests are conducted mid-November and mid-April while end semester exams are conducted end of December and end of May.

Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. As per the eligibility criteria for B and B.Tech programs, the candidates must have passed in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Maths and Chemistry as optional subjects with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
2. For M.Tech programs, applicants should have passed B.E/B.Tech in an appropriate stream from a recognized University.Tech in the relevant field has been passed with an aggregate of 60% marks or any other equivalent examination. For gate qualified candidates for preference is given.
3. Candidates seeking MBA program should have passed bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% aggregate marks. Preference will be given to the candidates who have appeared for CAT/ MAT/ XAT examinations.
4. For MCA program, the candidate should have passed the bachelor’s degree with the subject Mathematics and the candidate should have secured minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Computer literacy and possession of a valid NIMCET examination score are the preferred qualifications.
5. For Ph.D programs, the candidates shall have passed post graduation in the relevant discipline with more than 55% of the aggregate marks. If the candidate is a GATE/NET qualify then they are given priority.
6. The state government norms regarding the reservation criteria in the case of SC/ST/OBC categories shall be applicable to all the programs offered as per the above chart. 3% of seats are in a row horizontally for physically challenged candidates.
