RGUKT, Basar is a state university located in Basar, Telangana, India. It was established in 2008 and is more commonly referred to by the name of IIIT Basara. NAAC has accredited RGUKT Basar with ‘Grade A’ in the year 2022, which showcases the established infrastructure quality and educational facilities. It also has approval from the University Grants Commission or UGC for the impartation of knowledge. As per the NIRF Rankings 2023 declared, RGUKT Basar is placed in the rank 101-150 among all the engineering colleges in India. 

The Basar campus of RGUKT offers the integrated B.Tech program for six years for various fields such as CSE, ECE, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Material Science, Metallurgical and Mining. The admission is very competitive and is offered in different programmes during the admission period beginning in May every year through an entrance examination and counseling. The exams for the 2024-2025 batch would be held in the month of May, 2024 as tentatively finalised. End of semester examinations are usually done in the period, November/December and April/May. The latest placement statistics reveal that for 2021-22, around 83.96% of the students have been placed in campus recruitment and the highest package offered was INR 43.33 LPA. The average salary offered was INR 13,745, while the median salary offered was INR 13,75,000 for the graduating batch.
