Rama Devi Women’s University situated at Bhubaneswar, Odisha has been imparting education in different streams including arts, science, commerce, education, law etc affiliated under graduate and post graduate level. Some of the departments in arts are Odia, English, Economics and History, Home Science and others and the admission criteria is 10+2 pass in respective subjects with minimum 50% of marks in aggregate. Science departments include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, etc. Science background is necessary for admission to these departments and the minimum percentage required is 50% in 10+2. All commerce and management courses require 10+2 in any stream with more than 50% marks for overall graduation. Undergraduate programs including BALLB & LLB have some requirements for admissions which include graduation in any stream with at least 50% marks. Some of the entrance tests accepted are Odisha Joint Entrance Exam (OJEE) , Common Entrance Test of Odisha (CET Odisha) etc. Other Bachelors in education (B.Ed) and physical education (B.P.Ed) programs leading universities and institution accept test like Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET).

The Rama Devi Women’s University Bhubaneswar has a plethora of courses offered in the Undergraduate level for the students in arts, science, education, law, and many more. The three-year B.A. program for the students of Economics, English, History, Odia, Philosophy, and Sanskrit of the University grants admission to the candidates who have passed +2 exams conducted by CHSE or any equivalent examination with at least 50% of the aggregate marks. The B.Sc. The Bachelor of Science programs offered in the subject of Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Home Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and Zoology admit students who have passed the +2 Science stream conducted by CHSE/CBSE/ICSE or any other equivalent exam with 50% aggregate. The B.Ed. program considers candidates based on 50% marks in aggregate of the graduation examination along with this the candidate should have studied at least two school subjects at graduation level which are taught at secondary/higher secondary level in Odisha state.

Rama Devi Women’s University, Bhubaneswar now offers Ph.D. programs in various departments such as Management, Commerce, Science, Arts, Education, Law, etc. The requirement for admission to the Ph.D. programs may vary from the department to the department. The candidate should have Master Degree and minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade of any recognized University and must have qualified in the Net/Set examination. For Commerce and Science departments, duration and qualification required to teach are an MPhil or Master’s degree in the relevant specialization with minimum 55% marks with NET/SET. The Education department requires Master’s degree in Education and NET or equivalent qualification is also acceptable. For PhD in Arts and Humanities: It is mandatory to be a Master’s degree holder in the relevant subject with a minimum 50% aggregate marks. Recognised tests are UGC NET, UGC CSIR NET, NET SLET, GATE, M.Phil degree and other relevant tests.
