Ranchi University is one of the leading universities in the region of Jharkhand and is located in Ranchi, wherein the university provides various undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses in field of science, commerce, arts, law, education and management sectors. For B.Sc such as physics chemistry maths botany and zoology students should have passed their 12th standard in science group with a minimum of fifty percent marks. For B.Com, the candidate must be a 12th commerce pass and they must have secured minimum 45% marks. B.A in subjects like Economics, History, English, one needs to have passed 12th standard in any group with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate. For BCA, the candidate must be 12th standard pass in any stream with Maths as a subject with 50% marks. Standard tests/entrance examination such as JEE Main for engineering, CAT for management, CLAT for law and NCHMCT for hotel management are accepted for admission to engineering management law and hotel management streams respectively.
The university provides UG and PG level courses in science, social science, commerce, arts, law, education, Engineering & Technology and Management streams for the 2024 batches. Important exams dates are: entrance tests are held during May-July 2023 and the admission process is in the same month in the year 2023. Most programs have the following requirement, qualifications that were earned in the last qualifying examination.
