Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University is a university established under central Act located in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, India. The university is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and ICAR-Indian Council for Agricultural Research recognized. 1. For the undergraduate courses, students must clear 10+2 with physics, chemistry, mathematics or biology / agricultural science with 50% marks or 40% marks in case of the Reserved category.
2. The requirement to pursue a master’s degree is the bachelor’s degree in relevant field with minimum 60% marks in the bachelor’s examination for general candidates and 55% for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates passed from any recognized university.
3. To be admitted as a Ph.D. student, one must have a relevant postgraduate degree with an average of 60% and pass in the various entrance examination as follows.
4. Age: There is no upper limit to the elderly business acumen. Minimum age for undergraduates is 17 years as the age is considered up to 31st of August of the year of admission.
5. Student should be qualified and have secured valid score in the entrance examination like AIEEA PG for master’s Level and AICE for Ph.D level.
6. The candidates belonging to the reserved category shall produce genuine certificates issued by the appropriate authority to avail any concession in respect of the prescribed eligibility criteria.
Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University has a functional placement cell which provides its students chances of getting employment. Agricultural colleges have always been a favorite among recruiters and some of the companies that regularly visit the campus are – ICAR, UPL, PI Industries, Rallis India and FMCG giants like ITC, HUL, Nestle. This joining for the highest salary package went to INR 18.6 lakhs per annum by UPL in the year 2023. Salary package was of moderate to low as the average salary package offered was between INR 5-7 lakhs per annum. More than 85 percent of the registered students got placements either through campus placement or through pooled campus recruitment in sectors such as agriculture and food science, dairy science and technology and agri – business management.
