The Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Sciences (SHUATS) located in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh with a number of departments and programs like Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Food Technology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Agriculture Engineering, Computer Applications and more. The following are the eligibility requirements; However, eligibility requirements may differ depending on the course. For admission to the BTech programme, one must pass the JEE Main, UPSEE, SHUATS entrance examination for B Tech courses with a minimum of 50% marks in class 12-PCM. For BSc Agriculture & allied field 12th Science is compulsory with required 50% marks in aggregate. MBA/MCA needs graduation with 50% and entrance exam of UPSEE/CAT/MAT etc are considered. So, the MSc programs require individuals with the right educational background in the respective fields. The PhD admission is determined by the score in the entrance test and interview.
It offers a large number of UG, PG and PhD courses in Agriculture, Engineering, Science and Technology, Computer Applications, Biosciences, Food Technology and Management Specializations. These include the following; BTech, BSc Agriculture, BSc Horticulture, BTech Food Tech, MTech Biotech, MBA, MCA, MSc Forestry etc. Date for the entrance exams will be released by September 2023 for the admission in the year 2024. University will conduct UPSEE every year in the third week of April 2024, whereas the University own examination will be held in the last week of May 2024, application form for various courses will be available from December 2023 and submission date of form will be third week of June 2024. The admission process for students is merit basis with qualifying exam marks, entrance tests, interviews, and counseling as relevant to the programs on offer.

Documents Required for Admission in SHUATS Allahabad for Different Courses:
1. Class 12th scores: They should have completed there 12th standard from any recognized board with minimum percentage as per the category of the candidate like SC/ST/OBC/PH etc. It is desirable that the students should have obtained better grades in related areas such as Biology/Maths.
2. Entrance exam performance: Some of the candidates may need to write entrance examination set by SHUATS and they must secure the qualifying standard. Higher scores preferred.
3. Interview performance: Applicants are invited for an interview under the belief of testing overall temperament, inclinations, and speaking ability. There are other aspects that count towards selection and the interview is one of them that stands out.
4. Merit rank: Only on the basis of 12th marks, entrance exam scores and interview, a final merit list and ranking shall be prepared. These are some of the key approaches that will be followed to ensure that only the best students are admitted into the University: According to the merit list, the best students will be offered the opportunity to join the University until all the available spaces are occupied.
5. Reservation policies: Normalized for SC/ST/OBC category as per rules and regulation of government of India. VACANT POSTS: Candidates under the reserved category can get selected on relaxed standards.

1. Qualifying Exam: For the posts of engineers, intermediate or 10+2 or any equivalent examination passed with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects are required.
2. Minimum Marks: The general category candidates require minimum 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 for getting admission and for the SC/ST/OBC category candidates they should possess 55% marks in 10+2. For other categories of candidates it is 60% of aggregate marks while for SC/ST candidates minimum marks needed is 50%.
3. Entrance Test: Candidates have to sit for university entrance examination known as SHUATS Entrance Exam or other equivalent examination as mentioned for admissions like JEE Mains. They use test scores in determining the admission of a child into their school.
4. Counseling: Candidates who have made it to the shortlist will be invited to the counseling rounds during which the documents of the candidates are verified and the seat is allotted to the students, admission procedures, merit, and reservation policy, choices filled, and availability of seats.
5. Final Admission: After candidates clear all the academic, documental and payment formalities in the counseling rounds, then only a final admission shall be conferred to the B.Tech program as per the branch alloted.

3. In the next section, there is a link that will lead you to the online application form where you can register yourself using the relevant information.
4. Enter the login information that you used during the registration process and complete the application form that is posted on the website.
5. Scanned copy of necessary documents like passport size photo, signature, education certificates etc should be uploaded according to the prescribed format
6. They can pay the application fee either online through the credit/debit card, net banking etc.
7. Recheck all the information that has been filled on the application form and then submit it
8. Once completed, save the application form and number and then print it out for further use.
9. Any of the above means has to be followed by submitting the printed application form accompanied by the required documents through post or courier to the university address not later than the stated deadline.
10. Visit the page where the admission is conducted to ascertain any arising selection.
SHUATS Allahabad B.Sc Selection Criteria
1. Pass in 10+2 examinations from a recognized central or state Board with minimum marks as prescribed and required subjects. A candidate must have passed the exam with the required minimum marks depending on the subject that a candidate had taken.
2. The marks obtained in the relevant subjects of the course for which B.Sc admission is being sought by the candidate. For instance, grades in maths, physics, chemistry etc. for B.Sc courses in the relevant subjects.
3. Seat reservation – Conforming in terms with the guidelines of government of India, seats are reserved such SC/ST/OBC etc.
4. School and college activities and accomplishments – Participation and achievement in games and sports, cultural events, Olympiad, etc. may be considered.
5. Personal interview – this may involve candidates being called for an interview in order to evaluate other quantifiable parameters.
6. The entrance test – Depending on the specialization chosen, the university can have its test or acknowledge the performance in some exams such as UPSEE.
