Samana College of Design Studies is an emerging design college affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University, Anantapur and situated in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh which offers quality design education. Samana College of Design Studies Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. There is minimum eligibility criterion that the candidate must fulfill, which includes passing the 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized board or university with minimum 50% marks for general category and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PH category.

2. Other opportunity is that the applicants who have completed Diploma in the relevant specialization can also apply. Their diploma should be approved by AICTE/UGC/DEC/Government. 

3. International candidates must have completed 12 years of education or equivalent with a aggregate of 50 percent marks in the desirable subjects. 

4. This has also made it possible for the applicants who complete their 10+2 or diploma in 2023 to apply for the examination. It should be noted that their last eligibility will be determined before their admission into the university.

5. Interview will be accompanied by portfolio where applicants’ artistic abilities, creativity and motivation will be evaluated regarding all programs.  

6. All applicants who completed their previous education in non-English speaking countries must provide TOEFL, IELTS or other English language proficiency test scores. Acceptable tests - TOEFL/IELTS/Duolingo/ELS.

Samana College of Design Studies focuses on design related Diploma and Degree courses in different disciplines like fashion designing, jewelry designing, interior designing, graphic designing, product designing, textile designing etc. 

The diploma programs are one to two years long and are designed for the students who want to build creative and technical careers in the design field. These are 3-4 years courses whose goals are to equip the learners with adequate knowledge on design concepts, principles, processes, and practical skills. Samana College of Design Studies has a great placement record where leading companies come to the college for campus placement.
